GI Military Wool Beanie

It fits my big head ! Finally a hat that is comfortable but secure on my head. The wool does not feel like natural wool so I had a local well established dry cleaning firm examine it this morning. I swore it was synthetic...but three experts agree: it is wool. It is comfortable wool and you can pull it down to cover your whole head in total comfort. If you decide to return it, you have to pay return shipping (exceptions apply please read small print). You should have no reason to return it. The coloring is rich and it looks good on whoever wears it. I am sure it will get a lot of use. Warm but light enough to fold an put in your pocket. Nice stitching job. Made in USA (see tag sewn inside ). A must have for the cold winter months.

My dad served in the Navy during WW II and had a knit watch cap. During my stint in the Army I used a regular baseball hat or one with flaps. I decided to buy this hat for cold winter days and nights since baseball hats these days are designed as one size fits all. I now have less hair than I did when I was younger and decided to get something to keep my entire head warm. It does that and at times I can cover my ears to keep them warm too. Great hat for the pice.

I like that this product keeeps me little head nice & warm. It does not bother me much that it is machine made, it has a goodly feel to it & in black is perfect for all sorts of events including various outdoor work. (The gloves are well made, also) &, hey, if it is good enough for the army, ...

While it is clearly mass-produced and therefore not of superb or detailed construction, it seems well-made and the material feels thick (about 1/4 inch thick on the knits) and warm. Great for cold weather, although it probably will not offer the best wind or rain protection. It's a knitted wool hat, not a rain jacket. Note that wool can't be washed/dried like a cotton shirt; it will shrink and probably be damaged if you try. On my average-sized head it fit snugly and was only a little itchy, not any different than one should expect from wool. For the price (I paid $10 with free shipping), this is a great hat.

Average knit cap but it's loose knit and thin. I've had heavy weight knit hats for many years and this is not that quality. It's functional for cool weather...not cold.

This is an excellent product and an excellent value. It is well made and the material is generous enough that you can fold it (double it up) over your ears to keep them toasty and warm, or roll it up over your ears when you need your hearing on full while hunting, stalking. The elastic is great, it is nice and warm 100% wool. enough stretch, not too tight. My older synthetic fleece type cap went into the Goodwill bucket after day one with this cap.

Wool is naturally warm. Much more so than polyester yarns. Wool does not lose its warmth retaining properties even when wet. Wool is a super natural material. Your body loses 90% of your body heat from your head. These watch caps are warm! I wear it in cold weather outdoors. I also wear it at night during cold spells. I can roll it down. too. Simple real deal product that works. You will be surprised at how big these are, when you take it off and set it on a chest or table.
