Nicely built. We have a total of 7 of them in the building, and we have not had any trouble with them over the years.The tri-tap has a little circuit breaker built in, that is good for peace of mind.The black donut on the cord can be adjusted so the cord is reachable without a ladder.

These work well and have a high-quality cord and "triple tap". Unfortunately, I am on Amazon looking for replacements. We have had three of these fail within 18 months of installation and careful, light use. Our application has these mounted near the 25-foot ceiling with about 18 feet of cord extended. The spring is anchored to a plastic tab inside the plastic housing, and I think having constant spring tension on that tab weakens it and it breaks off, leaving the spring to unwind. I suggest you find a different cord reel if you plan on mounting them high. We have four others mounted to walls where the cord retracts completely and none of those have given us any trouble.
