dijon that captures real Dijon mustard.
First, let me say, you get a large jar (15.8 ozs) of mustard in the pail, ie a packaging gimmick. Nice pail nice label, just not a pail full of mustard.Second, this mustard is they type I have often had not only in France, but also Germany and Netherlands. It is similar to hot freshly mixed English dry mustard. It is a pungent full Dijon. What many of us love about genuine Dijon is the 'hot'. Hot like fresh horseradish, sinus clearing like fresh wasabi. Make no mistake, a small dab of this straight will absolutely clear your sinuses just like the equivalent amount of fresh wasabi, no joke. This is simply amazing stuff if you like a French style Dijon. Heres some of the ways I enjoy it. It is superb with semi soft cheeses like Edam gruyere and Gouda. It is great with heavy cold appetizer style sausages and better still with brats and similar fare.I also use it as a simply way to add a bit of interest to grilled plain salt and pepper seasoned beef. Use a dollop of this mustard with a tablespoon or more of reduced balsamic glaze (i use the bottled offering when in a pinch)drizzled on a plate, with a touch of parsley. I use this when im tired and still want to present an interesting evening meal on the fly. This combines the balsamic sweetness and depth with mustard and horseradish like zing, and oddly work beautifully with letting wines reveal themselves. This mustard combined with fresh garlic, rosemary, thyme, and plenty of fresh coarse black pepper smeared over crown lamb roast is extraordinary.Used sparingly, the mustard's bite is wonderful with many other foods, as a 'note' rather than overpowering chord. As for one reviewers comment on salt, for a reality check, Fallot has 130 mg per Tbsn, grey poupon 120. I don't use much salt and it is not overly or unusually salty to may taste. Mustard routinely is a salty condiment.IMHO, this is a special product in a league of its own, 'better' than any other French Dijon I have purchased in the US, including Maille, which I also like a great deal.

Jar Arrived Opened
Tried this at a friends house and it was so good I immediately splurged and ordered one for my family. So excited with the little tin but opened it and there was strong mustard smell and some kind of liquid on outside of glass jar. Opened it with zero pop. Can’t return it. It’s unusable.

Delicious and not overly tart.
This is the mustard my husband enjoys the most. It's good with just about anything. The pail it's sent in is cute.

The very best!
Recommended to me by several top chef's it is now my favorite for its superb flavor and "tang". You'll never go back to typical yellow mustard again. It makes even a simple hot dog special.

Best mustard I’ve ever used!
Simply the best mustard on the planet!! Tangy, light spice and that special refined flavor you get from a quality Dijon. Other brands may cost a little less, but the price is definitely worth the difference.

Beware of damage and no returns!
I purchased this as a gift. It arrived in pieces and mustard leaked everywhere. Little did I know I can’t return and there is no option to replace. Unacceptable for the price

If you love Fallot Dijon mustard...
I LOVE Fallot Dijon mustard. I've loved it for awhile, so I wasn't worried about buying a larger jar of it. It has a smooth taste and is milder than a lot of other Dijon or Dijon-style mustards. The bucket is really just a novelty, but I have it with my other French decorative objects, and it fits right in. The mustard actually comes in a jar inside the bucket, so you don't have to find space in your fridge for the bucket. I was worried that the packaging may not be that good and that it would arrive broken, but my fears were unfounded. It was packaged really well. I love the bucket and I especially love the mustard.
