Husqvarna K760 14-Inch Rapid Cut Saw

Excellent saw! Very powerful! It's important to keep the gas mixture right. She runs like a top! I never had a saw that would idol as well as this one.

Compared to the equivalent stihl saw, I do not like this saw. I guess the main reason is that the location of the exhaust pipe wasn't well thought out. It's angled down on the saw at a 45 degree angle - meaning that when you're cutting something on the ground (holding the unit down at about a 45 degree angle), the exhaust is aimed straight down. That means instead of shooting the exhaust out in front and away from you, it shoots it straight down, then blasting it right into your face - making a respirator necessary when doing any extensive cutting, which is kind of a hassle.However, it's been reliable and is well made with quality parts. This saw also has a better splash guard behind the wheel, that rotates around the blade for optimal capturing of concrete slime. The result is that there's much less of a rooster tail of slime that commonly gets on everything behind you while cutting with a comparable stihl saw.

I own two of these miserable pieces of crap (model K760's). I bought them based on the good performance of a friend's Husqvarna chain saw. There is a design flaw in the throttle mechanism that keeps failing. The water mechanism plugs up constantly. The muffler fell apart on one that has been used only minimally. There are other problems as well. Two local authorized dealer service departments near me are worthless. I have owned and operated other manufacturers 14" quickie saws that run practically trouble-free. I had a glimmer of hope when Husqvarna told me they would fix saws free of charge. I shipped them to their Olathe, KS service center as per factory rep instructions. I waited ninety days while begging for some communication. They finally responded with estimates to repair saws including an engine kit for one- at my expense. Wish I had never purchased.

worked great for a short while, then suddenly won't start. no local service available, and tech support told me i'm out of luck, even though it is less than a year old and used Husqvarna fuel mix exclusively. My old Stihl saw was 6 years old before losing compression.

I believe this is one of the best gas cut-off saws you can buy. We own a rental company and have used other brands but these seem to last the longest and be the most reliable. The reason for 4 stars is the wire going to the kill switch seems to break regularly and has to be taken apart to fix, but other than that a great saw.

POS, only runs in half choke and dies like all husky toolsbought new and never worked correctly
