Rachel Maddow: Primetime Political Commentator (Remarkable LGBTQ Lives)

Way overpriced... Textbook? ... Good basic information.
For the number of pages this book is way overpriced. I guess us Amazon customers are subsidizing the free books given to schools and libraries. Leans very heavy into Rachel's involvement with LGBT organizations. Written for a Junior High or Senior High audience. We like Rachel's show, thus the reason for the purchase, but next time we will check the library first.

An Outstanding Book About Rachel Maddow
Rachel Maddow is my favorite commentator on television. She is smart, often humorous, and with a creative look at what is happening on the news. I knew very little about her background until I read this book. Although it is described as "Juvenile Literature" this book does not "talk down" to the reader. It tells about Rachel's life, her coming out as gay, her suffering from cyclical depression because of a chemical imbalance, and her working to improve the lives of others. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about a person who is worthy of our admiration.

I enjoyed reading about her work as an anchor but not ...
I enjoyed reading about her work as an anchor but not so much about her activism. It was a little tedious at times.
