NASCAR Sim Racing - PC

Well, it's just about exactly the same as NASCAR Thunder 2004, so my review is short. It's acceptable to me, but I never have had any of the older Papyrus versions. EA Games does not make a simulator, it has never produced a simulator. It makes Arcade games. This one gives you a taste of NASCAR and for me it's just fine, but it gets old fairly fast driving on a silly circle track..I would love to try the Papyrus NASCAR 2003, but I'm not about to spend $50-$100 bucks for an old game. I'm just not a sim kind of guy. This one works fine for us poor folk that just use a game pad. Actually the controls are better than in NASCAR Thunder 2004. The sounds are not as good, but I think between the two, I will keep this one and get rid of NASCAR Thunder 2004.

Game itself is fine. Had a great deal of difficulty installing it. I am somewhat computer savey but this program has some quirks when installing. I tried installing on 3 different computers. I shut down my internet security when installing but still kept getting a message that my video card drivers need updating, which I found odd. I could believe it with my older computer as it does not have a great card, but the other 2 a very good card and have up to date drivers. Talked to the tech support and got no help. I finally figured out on my own that to get it to work on 1 of my systems I have to shut down the internet security firewall before it will load the program.

In order to run this game on Windows Vista- Windows 7, a copy of NASCAR Thunder 2004 isneeded. Delete the sim racing (3D set up) file and copy and paste (3D config) file from NASCAR Thunder 2004. Rename the 3D Config file from NASCAR Thunder 2004 to 3D setup- (like the original file in Sim Racing). Run the 3D set up and then launch the game.If you're looking for a good simulator, NASCAR 2003 Season is the best and last one to be made. It has tons of custom content that can be downloaded for free. There are cars from the 50's, 60s', 70's, 80', 90', and the 2013 car of tomorrow for NASCAR 2003 Season.The only good thing about this NASCAR Sim is that it has the Goodwrench Chevy in the game!

Great idea. Not so great execution. Find broke on second flight. Also had to use a dreamel tool to widen the opening to use with my launcher. I used silicone to repair the fin and ground the opening to allow it to work with the launcher and it was great. Added about 150 feet to altitude. But I shouldn'the have to do that.

This game will NOT work on Vista, no matter what you do. It just wont read. I am a computer programmer, so I am very familiar with getting older games to play on Vista but this one just wouldnt do it.I gave such a poor rating anyways, because the production companies website said this product was compatible with Vista, but once I purchased and called to see if there was something I wasnt doing right, they let me know their information was wrong and that it wasnt Vista compatible.Boo... F Grade. 1 Star (For the Name?). 1/10 Rating.Boo...

It has realistic graphics, but the auto pace lap needs some work, as the car tends to spin out and the pace car tends to be too far ahead of the field. The weather, when it changes, the graphics get jumpy. The crew is realistic and the cars are realistic, but it still needs some work done.

Three stars are for seller don't buy this game unless you have a computer from 1985 or 3 months to configure

a little disappointed that the game only works on XP....that wasn't in the description....I can only use it on one computer
