I loved the cedar smell. The stool top is beautiful raw wood, that I love. Unfortunately, the 'legs' are not at the same angle, and it made the stool wobbly. It doesn't look as nice as it could with the different angles of the legs either. I purchased some silicone tabs for anti-skid on my concrete floor, and placed them so that it prevented wobble, but obviously not everyone is going to want to mess with that.I love the stool for the most part, but had I been the craftsman, I would not have tried to sell it that way. Still, once the wobble was fixed, it made the piece more sturdy, and I feel it will hold a good amount of weight. My husband is 200 lbs. and it does not creek under his weight, or make him feel that it will give out on him, for all that is worth.

Very sturdy, made of attractive and aromatic cedar.I covered the top with one coat of Varathane 3x polyurethane. Left the rest unfinished and emitting wonderful cedar scent.7" high.(The one I received has hidden screws on the underside, unlike the photo, so even better.)

The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I wanted to stain it. I did a light sanding of it before staining. They had some glue on the stool where part of the legs were glued together. They wern't very neat with the glue. I thought I could sand it good enough to take the stain. Nope, even after applying the stain and resanding I still couldn't get the glue off it. But I think it was to late to return after applying the stain. So if you get one and want to stain it make sure there is no glue. Other then that it's a beautiful stool.

I like the height which is perfect for me. I also like that it is cedar and that all the screws are hidden. It sits level and was made with care. Had I more time to shop I would have purchased a stool locally for less than half the price.....probably even one fourth. But you pay f o r convenience.

I love this stool, but please pay attention to the size. I needed it to get into bed after an upcoming knee surgery, but after getting it, I found out it was just too small. I didn't feel steady turning around on it, and I know I will be a lot more unsteady after the surgery, so I had to return it and get a larger one. It would be great for a child. it's very well made and looks really nice. I wish they had it in a larger, wider size. The only complaint I would have is that it's rather expensive.

I cannot believe how disappointed I am in this. I usually love solid wood Amish made items, but this arrived with the leg split where an oversized screw was inserted. It looks cheaply made to me.

Perfect height for a little boost into my bed. I have a thicker mattress now (and didn’t get a lower box spring) so a bit high! Great quality and very stable design.

Second one I've purchased. Exactly what it says it is. Sturdy, aromatic cedar and just enough height to more easily reach the top closet shelves. No assembly needed.
