Perfect warm rose gold
This color has been impossible to find in my local stores, so I was thrilled to find it here. My daughter chose rose-gold for the metallic accent for her upcoming wedding. I had some LED table lamps that were a brassy gold tone. I was able to spray them & change the look, making them perfect for the upcoming nuptials. Very happy with the color!

Easy to use - duller than cap
Easy to use, low fumes, dries quickly, good coverage. It’s not as shiny as cap suggests. You can see the contrast between the rose gold lamp, the copper on the wall in the background, and the krylon-sprayed glass shade ( the white glass glared too much for reading or crafting). However, I like the finish and durability. Interestingly, I first sprayed this shade with Rust-oleum, which was “chromier” but it never quite hardened to my satisfaction. Every time I adjusted it, it dinged. I scraped it off and used this instead. Krylon is more durable. The color matches even if it isn’t chrome-like. I did read a review that said as much so I knew what I was getting.

Gorgeous finish but....
Let’s start with the color, it is more true gold that most sprays. The coverage is very good and it dries fast. However, if you need it for a large area or several coats of one item-it is small at only 8 oz. I normally use Rust-OLeum Imagine Gold. In comparison to Krylon it dries in about the same amount of time, the color is more yellow gold and the can contains 11 oz. I purchased this out of curiosity for a small project and it is gorgeous but it was for a very small wicker ottoman 15” x 16” and I found myself almost running out of spray. Next project, I will use the Rust-Oleum to do most of the work, besides it is a lot cheaper, and then do my finishing coat with Krylon. Also, I’d like to point out that it is very strong smelling, so if you have sensitivities, wear a mask or bandana.3/14/21 Update:I ordered more and spray painted two large frames...what a disaster! I take my words back on the review above. While the color is great the paint is horrible. The reason I say horrible is because, after spraying these frames and letting them dry for days the paint grabs on to fingerprints and becomes blotchy where it has been handled. I took the frames, placed matted photos and hung them, to my dismay and great disappointment they are a total mess. A complete waste of a lot of time on this project and furthermore my money. 😠

Does not work on the BACK side of glass
I got this hoping to replicate a mercury glass effect, when I couldn't find the specific product I saw used. (Another Krylon spray, I don't recall the name)This product looks quite good on top of any glossy surface you paint, but on the opposite side of glass, it looks very grainy. There seems to be a variety of particle sizes, with the largest settling to the bottom first.Back to the drawing board.

Works better than expected!
This car was gold chrome but faded over 45-50 years to be more silver. To distinguish it from an unfaded gold chrome version of this car, I wanted it to be silver. I masked the stripes and numbers, so what you see there is the original chrome. The areas outside the stripes on the hood, roof, and trunk, and above the numbers on the side are painted with this spray paint. While not a mirror finish, it’s still very shiny and hard to notice next to the original chrome. I think this stuff works great!

Looking great
Used this for my grill, must say it looks new again. The overspray I wiped with acetone.

Shiny and definitely resembles chrome
Did a lot of online comparisons to find a spray paint that looks like chrome and not just something that was shiny gray. This was top rated and I can see why would be good for automotive touchup. I used it for some crafts.

It’s fine.
This paint is just fine; not terrible, but not revolutionary. Like most gold spray paints, this is very opaque and had total coverage after one coat. I would say the resulting shine is above average, but I’ve seen better (Montana Gold Goldchrome or Rustoleum Metallic). When using metallic spray paint, surface preparation is key; several coats of either black or red spray paint that’s been wet sanded and polished to a mirror finish typically yields better than average results (use black as an undercoat to get a modern, polished gold, and use red as an undercoat to get a more classic, burnished gold leaf finish). That said, this paint did not seem affected at all by the undercoat. As long as the surface is smooth then the result is okay. For the price and the amount you get, I’d say look elsewhere.Go for Montana Gold Goldchrome for an ultra shiny finish, and use Rustoleum Metallic Finish for a more durable finish.

effect depends on what you apply it
About the copper Krylon: I apply this on paper and it looks quite a bit darker than shown on the product's cap because of paper's porosity, but still looks metallic. It would certainly look a lot more metallic on a sleak surface. The copper isn't as shiny as the silver though. (the silver version being the best in terms of metallic color realism in my opinion). And the gold is too greenish for whom would want a real warm or yellow gold color.

Quality
This is by far the best "gold" paint we have used so far, the only thing to give a better finish would be gold leafEasy to use and sufficient quantity to do most domestic jobs
