Sounds awesome, best sound I've ever heard
Best sound I've heard. I'm relistening my music again, finding details that I didn't noticed before. Paired with a subwoofer, sounds even better to fulfill the extra low range. 100% recommended.

Cannot be repaired
Let me start off with this are amazing sounding and looking speakers. I have really enjoyed them. My problem and warning to others is support. I moved and one of the woofers got smashed and a cracked. I contacted support to try and get a replacement woofer. I was told they do not do that and I would need to buy a new speaker. I find this totally unacceptable for a speaker cost this much. So my wonderful sounding speaker is now a $999 loss. I wont be buying this brand again.

Ultra clean & rich sound, elegant design
Ultra clean & rich sound, elegant design.Optimal size for any house setting/mini-party use.Make sure to pair them on your PC via the USB port and install the XMOS drivers from the official Airpulse site. I tested these with a Gen 3 Focusrite Scarlett audio interface, and it felt like the sound was too "flat". The moment I connected them via USB, the sound became more vibrant and powerful (no wonder they have a dedicated driver software for windows and most likely a superior native audio system).Using these for about a year now, paired with an Edifier T5 subwoofer in a desktop PC setting. It feels like the ultimate level of audio satisfaction. If you intend to pair them with a sub, make sure you also get the right cable as it's not included in the set.

clear, fast and neutral!
wonderful powered speakers for near field gratifying listening experience. have owned many desktop powered speakers (edifier s3000pro and vanatoo transparent one encore, for example) and these are better regarding sound clarity, attack and decay, texture, fast articulate bass response, flawless integration and 3d sound. as long as you have your expectations clear (these monitors will NOT fill a huge space; edifiers are better on that respect), then they are a serious consideration. the sub out is an absolute plus: i bought a B&W ASW608 that works flawlessly and the optical input allows me to connect my nice marantz CD player. very highly recommended!

Price is a bit high for what your getting.
These speakers would sound great if a sub was attatched. If you don't already own a powered sub then I would suggest buying the Edifier s200pro if you looking for great sound at a reasonable price. I own both sets of speakers and I can say with absolute certain that these speakers do not come close to the s200pro's unless you have a sub attached. If your wondering about the "high res" I honestly don't notice a difference... This is said with proper equipment connected using optical and DAC connected to my PC streaming high res media.I will say they do sound really good when a sub is connected. I also like to note on my personal oppinion I at times feel as if there was a slight delay in the audio reaching the sub compared to the audio coming from the speakers themselfs. I can't confirm right now because I haven't really tested to see if this is the case. I do not think that the price point set for these speakers is proper in my opinion I think It should be at least $150 cheaper. If I had the money would I buy these again or whatever recommend buying them? I honestly don't think I would buy them again. I wouldn't bring these up in a list of speakers if I were to recommend to a friend, compared to other brands that I could choose from that do much better at a cheaper price.

Very Good Speakers with some modifications and Sub supplementation
So I debated back and forth for weeks whether to take the plunge on these Airpulse A100s. I originally bought them to put in my piano room and pair them with a subwoofer. I purchased the SVS SB-3000 sub since the A100s have a sub out (unlike the A200 and A300). They do get loud and dont distort at even high levels. They speakers dont have commanding bass, but if that's what you're expecting, you need to look at larger bookshelf speakers. The one thing I was concerned about was the Bluetooth version 4.1 Aptx vs. the 5.0 found in the Edifier S3000pro speakers (which I also own and LOVE). I could not hear any noticeable difference. The only difference is that I did have some loss of signal during set up, perhaps due to less range in signal? I must say that (perhaps comparing apples with oranges due to the size difference), but the S3000pros sounded heads and shoulders better than the A100 in my humble opinion. When complimented with the SVS sub, these things did sound very powerful and very good. However, I felt that my Edifier S3000pros still sounded better -- more crisp highs and solid mids and very good deep bass (of course not subwoofer thumping).I then moved the A100 and connected them by USB to my PC with my SVS sub. They sounded very good -- far better than my prior Bose Companion 5 speaker set up. But what made the A100s go from very good sounding smaller bookshelf speakers to amazing sounding speakers (with my PC) was the addition of PCEqualizer software where I was able to tailor the sound of the speakers and really hear them shine (with my sub of course). The subwoofer probably made the biggest difference when coupled with my A100s.So in short, they make phenomenal PC speakers -- they sound like "a home theater system" according to my teenage son. I would not buy these without a subwoofer. I do think the average listener would be slightly disappointed with the bass response (where I wasn't with my Edifier S3000pro).The last thing I wanted to point out is that I was disappointed (my fault) to see that you still had to use a cable between the L and R speaker. My Edifier S3000pros do NOT need any cable connecting between them, so they are truly wireless speakers. Are these worth $799? Honestly, I would say maybe. I would say $500 would be a great price. Do I regret buying them? If I did, I would have returned them without hesitation. For reference I own Bowers & Wilkins 805D Nautilus Diamond speakers, so I appreciate very high quality musical sound and speakers.SUMMARY (based on PC use):Overall Sound (without sub or equalizer) = B/B-Overall Sound (with Sub) = A-Overall Sound (with Sub and equalizer adjusted) = AValue = BQuality/Make = AAesthetics = ABluetooth reception = BBass response (in light of size): BMid response: B-Trebles: BWould I recommend? If you can afford to spend a bit more, I highly recommend the Edifier S3000pros -- though you can't add a subwoofer to it -- for 85% of listeners, it doesn't need it. However, I prefer the black piano gloss look of the Airpulse A100s. If Edifier would make the S3000pros in gloss black, and offer a sub out option just for those who really want deep deep bass, then they would be A+ and a perfect 10.I hope this helps.

Impressive and classy look
Amazing set of Bluetooth speakers. All is included into those preamp monitors, and paired with a Polk Audio HTS 10, that's wonderful. Leaking bass without it, but that's just from my own perspective. Quality set of speakers for those who don't mind paying extra for premium and convenience.

Awesome
They sound amazing, they look awesome, they work as you would expect. This is a go especially compared to its competition. I love them.
