Slow and irresponsible service
In early October 2012 I order all the items needed to custom install a car stereo as a gift for my son. The items covered by Prime arrived in 2 days and the remaining items arrived over the next several days except one. After about 10 days Amazon notified me that I should contact the seller because they could not confirm a ship date. I emailed the seller only to find out the power amplifier we had been waiting for was out of stock and that they had canceled my order. I wonder how much longer they would have waited (or if ever) they would have notified me. I have used Amazon for years and this is the first time a vendor has treated me this way. Not acceptable. This is also the first time I felt that service was so bad that I felt a need to write a poor review. Sorry Discount Jungle, but you really need to step up your contact procedures with customers.

Works Great!!!
I bought this to do an install in my 2010 f150 supercab to power my door speakers and a 10" sub under the backseat and it works perfectly. If you are looking to bump to attract attention then this probably isn't the amp for you, but it works great for my setup since I was going for sound quality. It is slim enough to mount behind my back seat with a capacitor and sound processor so no wires or equipment can be seen. I get zero static noise and have not had any over heating problems, the fan within the amp must be doing its job. For all the features of the amp and given its price range, I wouldn't buy a different amp if I had to do it over again. This is and has everything I was looking for.

The X700-5, A nice 5 channel solution.
I want to give this item a full 5 stars just to offset the ignorant reviewers who rated this amp 1 star because they don't know how to use a subwoofer or got bad shipping service, but I'll keep it at a strong 4 stars where I believe it should be at.Pros:* Very cool running* Digital!* The Subwoofer channel runs my 12" sub without any issues and is much more powerful than I expected. I don't think it would do a pair of 15's justice (though I haven't tested this) but it surely gives my single 12" all the power it can handle. I'm quite impressed with the sub amp inside.* 5 channels in one box and a small profile for 5 amps in one* Automatic internal cooling fan. You can hear this fan speed up when you run more power in the amp (turn up the music and the fan speeds up). It seems to work really well at keeping this cool. I ran it for 4 hours straight and it was just warm, maybe 110F?Cons:* Cheap plastic mounting brackets. I already busted one of the corners off while screwing the amp down.* 40 watts per channel on the highs seems insufficient. I can get the speakers to a pretty loud volume (beyond a comfortable listening level pretty much) but if I set the HFP to allow more bass to go into my non-sub speakers I seem to lose overall sound quality. I'm OK with this because I'll never really turn them up this loud for very long, but I do get into a mood every now and then when a good song comes on that I'm willing to risk my hearing for in order to jam out.* Limited owner's manual.* No spare fuses. (Hopefully this is a good sign of confidence?)* The amp's adjustment dials/knobs are in a horribly inaccessible location. They are not only recessed into the chassis, but there is a plastic overhang on each end of the amp that I have to remove with hex screws to get my fat fingers in there.* Along these lines, there is no bass remote which I sorely miss and think every amp should come with.Final Thoughts:A 5 channel amp is a great solution for avoiding multiple amps and cable runs and saving room inside the vehicle. One of the nicest things about this amp is that it is a D class amplifier. It draws about a quarter of the battery current and sounds much cleaner than AB amps. I'm running two four-way 6.5" pioneer speakers in the front, two two-way 5" MB Quart speakers in the back, and I have a 12" dual voice coil Pyle subwoofer hooked up to the sub channel mounted in a Bazooka tube that I blew the original speaker in and replaced it with this. I had first purchased a Lanzar amp, which had horrible internal grounding, returned it for a replacement, and the 2nd had the same issue so returned that too (thank heavens for Amazon's AMAZING customer service and return policy) and I went with this Kenwood which solved that problem. I was running a Phoenix Gold M50 bridged into my sub before I got this Kenwood, and I'm surprised to say that this Kenwood powers it every bit as well, and doesn't cook like the M50 did. I've got it fed and grounded with 4 gauge wires inside a 1993 Subaru Legacy L sedan. I did have to use inline ground loop isolators to get rid of a very minor ticking issue and I'm not sure whether to blame the amp, the grounding situation or just the old car.If you are not looking for a competition winning sound system but a system that will let you rock, krump and jam at way more impressive levels than your factory installation, this is a good choice. Use a good subwoofer and enclosure with some good midlevel door speakers, a decent head unit and you are set. Here are some links to other items in my system purchased from Amazon.comB006YBQ6V6B0007GBAZGB004CLYOHSB000ROM3R2P.S. I have my subwoofer coils wired in parallel to present a 2-ohm load to the amplifier for 500 watts of output (as opposed to 300 watts at 4-ohms.)

Great little amp with fantastic sound!
Just installed in my RV to power 4 Kenwood 6-1/2" ceiling speakers and a 10" subwoofer. It sounds amazing now! Bright, full sound and great tuning adjustments to suit any body's ears. I loved this amp so much, I bought another for an install in my truck.
