I have loved numerous kinds of quote books all my life. Now that I am in my senior years I now relate to the many different humorous aspects of growing old. I purchased this wonderful gem (Age doesn’t matter unless you’re a cheese by Kathryn and Ross Petras) for a bargain price on amazon. This 509 page soft cover book has quotes from a large group of famous people about aging. A small sample of these people include: Eve Arden, Louis Armstrong, Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Saul Bellow, Ingrid Bergman, Mel Brooks, Pearl S. Buck, Buddha, Joseph Campbell, Frank Capra, Chuang-TZU, Agatha Christie, Kirk Douglas, Clint Eastwood, Golda Meir and many, many others. A few of the numerous quotes in this book is as follows: “The older you get, the stronger the wind gets-and it’s always in your face.” Golfer Jack Nicklaus. “Choose well: Your choice is brief and yet endless” writer Ella Winter. “If you want immortality-make it.” Poet Joaquin Miller. “Dying is a very dull, dreary, affair. It’s such a great read!! I’ve gifted this to friends and relatives of ‘un age certain’, many times. The all love...great quotes from very funny to very deep.

Perfect for everyone of my friends over 70. Men and women will find passages of interest. It has no agenda includes humor and the profound.

This is a really fun book to read about issues of aging. Each page has a quotation that is funny or enlightening or thought provoking. It's very entertaining and I think it would make a good gift for anyone over 55.

Love these little books. They are easy to pick up if you just want some thing quick and easy to read, like in a doc office. And the quotes always make a lot of sense to me.

I purchased first one at a second hand store. Enjoyable light reading, so I went to amazon, and ordered a few more books. Just need something profound to write on the restroom stall while I poop. Yes, I'm kidding.

This is a book that I picked up whilst casually browsing in a store one day and began glancing through it. It's not unusual for me to do that, but it is unusual for me to then go on and buy that book unless it's very good. That happened in this case, as I did buy the book and I don't regret it. There's not much in size to this small gem and it sits happily in the hand, but it's crammed full of quotes from a wide range of well-known individuals who were credited with these words of wisdom when they were over the age of sixty. They're presented at a single quote per page; some are a short sentence and others fill the page. I enjoy picking it up from time to time and scanning randomly through the pages - sometimes there's a quotation which reminds of the value of life, and sometimes there's a smile inducing quip but all of it leaves me feeling very positive - a feel-good book. One thing that I do notice from all of this wisdom is that although it's attributed to an older generation, much of it is the kind of thing that we ought to be aware of at a much younger age. I think that makes it an ideal book for anyone who might appreciate some entertaining wisdom, however old they are.
