Is the trunk large enough to keep a macaw from climbing down to the ground?

My wife and I believe a Macaw probably could climb to the floor. Out African Grey hasn't tried yet but there is allot of activity going on when he is out and is not alone. There are many knots going up the whole trunk portion of the branch.

what is the bottom made of and is it easily cleaned or should I add some linoleum?

I put newspaper and toss. It’s easy to clean with putty knife and Murphy oil soap.

Yes I am familiar. Medium is good. Don’t get large because medium branches are large and someone wrote it was TOO big for even a cockatoos feet!

Is the #2 Medium sized java tree mounted in center of platform as shown in second picture?

Hi Karen, the placement of the tree varies from tree to tree. Per the manufacturer, to keep the trees balanced some are placed directly in the center and some are placed to the left or right of the base depending on the size and weight of the branches and the trunk. We hope this information helps!
