Very Logical Explanation For Logical Minds
I love the well-organized approach of explaining such an important issue. I wish the author would explain how he missed signs of women openly flirting with him.

A minefield decoded for people on the spectrum
In this short work, special education expert and autism-diagnosed man John Miller gives a 'guide' for what is stereotypically a pitfall for people on the spectrum - dating and intimate relationships.Sadly the topic of sexuality and intimate relationships in the sphere of autism sufferers is shrouded in half-truths, stigmas and stereotypes, along with a lack of decent social and psychological studies of actual relationships between Asperger/Autism sufferers and their partners or each other. Given the disorder is relatively common, it is obvious that somewhere along the line people with the condition meet up with other people and have intimate relationships and children. The situation is not helped by unhelpful and negative portrayals of autism common in the media - one only thinks for example of the barely functional 'Rainman' played by Dustin Hoffman, to the hilariously awkward and socially inept Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang Theory comedy sitcoms who seems completely unable of understanding the basics of human emotions and social interaction.Fortunately Miller does a good job at decoding some of the myths and gives people with Aspergers/High Functioning autism some hope in this difficult field. His topics range from dating tips, social etiquette and how to deal with sexual intimacy in a culture where relationships and social boundaries are often confusing, fast changing and ambiguous, leading to difficulties for autistic people.A good book exploring this difficult and sensitive area and well worth reading by both those on the spectrum and NT people as well.
