Safe and effective
I was thrilled to find a natural nontoxic and affordable solution to gum disease and very happy that I recognized all the ingredients especially neem which is antibacterial and safe to ingest as tea for humans as well. It is not gel but thin as water which is the only down side because my dog is afraid of the sound of spraying (sounds like hissing which is instictually a warning to dogs) I got her used to it by spraying on a "greenie" and rewarding her with it for a while before she let me spray in her mouth. I did try it myself for a few weeks just to test if it created any sensitivity and it didnt. My dog is I.G. which tend to have peridontal issues and doesnt tolerate brushing at all no matter what I did she would shake from fear of tooth brushing (drama queen) and anesthesia seems too risky for teeth cleaning. I will need to update as to the results whenever tolerated daily. Has a slight bitter taste but doesnt linger or burn.

It just arrived today...
I have only used this product one time, so please keep in mind this review is only based on my initial reaction. I adopted a chihuahua that had been horribly neglected for many years. His teeth are in awful shape. Not only is the tartar buildup terrible, his breath is enough to make anyone gag. I mean you can literally smell his breath from across the room, and I'm sure it can't taste very good for him. I was worried about the health ramifications of this so I took him to the vet. The vet told me the only solution was to pull his teeth out, but there was concern about him being put under and the recovery. He has some major breathing problems and seizures, and he is also an old dog. I have no idea if this spray will actually help to improve the condition of his teeth, but I do know that moments after 2 sprays, his bad breath was gone. Literally, gone. I am praying this helps his poor little mouth, but only time will tell. I will post again in a month if there is an improvement in that regard. The only down side I have found is that both of my dogs were scared of the bottle. The chihuahua I just picked up and held him while I quickly sprayed his mouth. My other dog though is over 100 pounds, and the very moment I brought the bottle near him, he freaked out and ran outside. Any one have ideas on how to coax a big dog into letting you spray his mouth?

Great Product!
This product is awesome. I have an 8lb Chihuahua Yorkie mix whose teeth cleanings cost me $200 annually. I started using the PetzLife Oral Spray on her twice a day -3 sprays on each side of her mouth-about 3 weeks ago and her teeth are much cleaner & whiter than before. The tartar buildup is virtually gone! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bad breath hasn't improved at all. But it saved me a lot of money for a cleaning at the vet so... I'm now a devoted PetzLife customer.

This product was recommended by my pet care groomer
This product was recommended by my pet care groomer, DETAILS, who grooms my Pekinese. YINYIN developed bad breath from bad gums. She had many teeth extracted because of gum disease. Yes, I am ashamed. After returning home from YINYIN's grooming, I immediately went to Amazon to search this product. Again, Amazon came through with the search. Better than trying to use doggy toothbrushes. All I had to do was hit one spray of this on each side of her gums and teeth once to twice daily. After putting a drop on my hand, I let her sniff. She didn't resist. It must be the peppermint. Within 5 days, her breath smelled clean and fresh. It didn't smell this clean when she was given to me by previous owner. No joke. This product truly does the job. This product has actually removed plaque from her teeth. They are white as if I spent $$$ to get them cleaned.

It works but difficult to use
It actually did a great job on improving the tartar situation but hard to use. The cat is afraid of the spray, and the flavor is terrible. It will be a great product if the cat can live with it. If not you need to find a way to apply the liquid. Using a swab or towel is a alternative solution.

Works great
This product worked great! I thought my miniature poodle was going to die. He had a terrible mouth infection for 3 weeks lost most of his teeth and you could smell his breath which was like hot garbage from 10 feet away. I ordered this and used it on each side of his mouth 2 sprays twice a day for a week. He started to get better and now is basically 100% after a month. I use it just twice a week now and his breath is way better and the infection is gone.

It works ~~~ but use caution!!!
I started using this on my Greyhound. I used it for several years with no problems at all. Her teeth were in excellent shape. My vet said he had never seen a Greyhound with such clean mouth & teeth. This product saved us from having dentals done on her and saved us a lot of money as well. My caution will not apply to most dogs at all. I have started using this on a three pound dog. I started very slowly using one spray only twice a week. After using it for one month, I started using it every other night. After using it last night, this morning she threw up and there was blood in it. I started reading on all of the causes of this happening. I checked the ingredient labels on her dog food and on this spray. I was shocked to see that it contains Grain Alcohol. Alcohol irritates your digestive system. Drinking – even a little – makes your stomach produce more acid than usual, which can in turn cause gastritis (the inflammation of the stomach lining). This triggers stomach pain, vomiting, & diarrhea with blood included. I think one spray of this is to much alcohol for a three pound dog. If you have a very tiny dog, please be careful on the amount you spray into their mouth. I know this spray does what it says it will do, so I plan to wait a couple of weeks and start her back on it again. I think I will put one spray onto my hand, wipe away half of it, then rub the other half on her gums. I will update this review in a month or two to report how my plan is working for her. She is nine years old and a Beiwer Terrier. She only has her dog food and this spray so I know she has been doing well on her food.
