Footwear Studio Lodgemok Mens Suede Leather Wool Lined Moccasin Slippers

Well, I didn't think I could summon up an opinion about a pair of Moccasins, but apparently I can. Yes, they're comfortable, yes the fit is spot on. Ok, that's the basic bit. In the photo, it looks like they have a fairly hefty, wedge shaped sole - they don't, its an optical illusion, the sides of the sole base lap up the sides of the Moccasin meaning that the sole base (at the heel end) is in the region of 15mm (not the 40mm or so it appears to be in the photos). Why mention this?, well, two points.1) If you're a tall chap like me (6'4" in my socks) then the last thing you need is a platform Moccasin unless with the extra height you'd like to walk into lights, door frames etc, and 2) Insulation - I've worn Moccasins for as long as I can remember and the soft soled ones simply don't insulate against freezing cold concrete floors if you live in an old house - these do and they are almost perfect. I'm not saying you won't feel any cold, but its hardly noticeable and these are simply the best I've ever bought, so much so i've bought another pair for 'stock' as knowing my luck they'll be discontinued if I don't. Absolutely fabulous & lovely & warm without making your feet sweaty & uncomfortable.

Edit (new review):Well, it turns out that these aren't well made. The rubber sole has split open after only 6 months. Very poor durability compared to previous pairs of slippers I have owned which lasted several years. So despite the good first impressions, I would recommend looking elsewhere.Original Review:Bought to replace a pair of slippers that lasted many years. Hopefully these last as long, but time will tell. These are comfy and feel well made, they were snug to begin with but quickly stretched (to be expected with this type of slipper) and now feel just right in terms of fit. Much better value than the offerings on the high street.

Really lovely slippers. Good quality too. Lovely and cosy with fluffy wool lining and a good sole on them. I got the brown for my husband as they won't show any dirt and it was also a free return on these in case they didnt fit whereas with some of the colours you had to pay if you needed to return them. I was very pleased with the dark brown. They price is really good too! The last pair he had were from Debenhams and much more expensive and the sole started to fall to pieces after about 18 months so very disappointing. I hope that these will last well and if they do I will buy the same again as a replacement!

I've had for a month and so far so good. Being made of 'solid' leather (rather than reconstituted mush) hopefully they'll last longer than my previous, cheaper slippers. I'm always wearing them outside the house so they don't have an easy life. I'm a size 7 (and a bit) so I was hoping the wooly lining would crush down, which it did.

The headline sums it up. Bought these after reading the review from Berryfields 1967 and his recommendation. After wearing these every day for a week or so I can honestly say that I agree with every word. If this style is for you then you'll not go far wrong. Great price too!

Slight issue over delivery; although I was at home and received an Amazon parcel that day, this item (slippers) was delivered next door.As to the slippers they are excellent and far better quality than I was expecting. They are comfortable and the sole grips well so no slipping on any surface.
