I purchased two of these, to use as CAT LITTER box mats. Mats marketed as "litter mats" are quite limited in size, more expensive, and IMHO are far lower in quality, save one product. (See product link to compare.)I liked my first two mats so much that I bought another one as a pet FEEDING mat.The mat has diagonal channels, which trap sawdust, food bits and debris. And if the spills aren't wet ones, you can vacuum the mat. We use pine pellet litter, which dissolves into sawdust. Now I don't find lots of sawdust tracked around the bathroom, and farther.The mat's rubber-like material is very solid but flexible. I spent way too long looking for a mat that wasn't rigid or plastic-y, and this was a perfect choice, very reasonably priced.Cleaning is a snap; rinse with hose or just wipe it down.The weight of the mat, along with its design and materials, guarantees that it won't be moving around, while at the same time making it easy to handle, clean or move.I know there are many good uses for this mat; I'll write a partial list below.Of course, fir boots and shoes.Under a sink.As a bath mat.As a door mat.In your garage, anywhere.As a standing mat in front of any workspace where you stand.Anyplace where people spill: water cooler, refrigerator, stove.To set under anything that shouldn't be exposed to spilled water because it might rust or break down.Under a window AC unit for condensation.In your car... for whatever.Under indoor potted plants, by itself or covered with cloth or paper.Under a wide furniture edge.Laying out tools and supplies so you can easily see them, and they won't roll away.Think of your own uses, I'll bet everyone could add to my list!

I just received this tray, and was rather excited to set it up as our new food/watering center for the dogs. We had been using a vinyl sheet (the kind you put under carpets) but water and dirt were seeping under it and damaging our hardwood flooring, so I've been looking for an alternative, specifically boot trays. When I opened the package I was pretty happy with the look and feel of this tray - it is a very "floppy" plastic - not stiff like some I had seen, but that's not really a problem for my purposes. It does indeed feel very sturdy - you wont worry about this thing cracking like you might if you got a plastic tray. The lip around the edge comes up about 1/4"-1/2", which seems like plenty to prevent minor overflows or dripping from getting out. Basically, I think it's a good buy.There is one caveat, which is why I gave it four stars and not five. I suppose I should have realized this before ordering - the measurements they give DO include the tray lip. I had measured the items I planned to put on it and they should have fit fine, but I had not accounted for that loss of space. The measurements INSIDE the lip are 13"x29.5". This is probably not an issue for those using it for it's intended purpose, but I saw a few other reviews from folks using it like I am, so I thought it was worth pointing out.I cannot comment on some reviewers' reports that the rubber left black marks underneath, but once I've had it for a while, I'll update this review if I notice a similar problem.tl;dr - great, solid tray but keep in mind the advertised measurements INCLUDE the raised lip.

The mat is placed below our shoe rack, which fits perfectly on top. Waterproof construction guarantees years of serviceability. Slight odor present when first removed from shipping box, but after a few days, all good.

Sturdy yet flexible, thick heavy rubber. Great quality. Had a strong rubber smell initially but after airing it outside for a day it’s fine. Perfect size as a base for underneath our water dispenser.

I put these underneath all of my 3D printers. You never know when a spill or leak could happen. It's nice that you have peace of mind that it won't go further. These are really thick and sturdy, so you don't have to worry about it losing shape when there's liquid in it.

Perfect fit under my wash tub in laundry room. Has a rubber smell but isn't noticable after awhile.
