Career Choices : A Guide for Teens and Young Adults : Who Am I What Do I Want How Do I Get It Paperback – January 1, 1990

I found this book in one of my child's classrooms at Back to School night. I opened it up and flipped through it and thought--wow--I wish I had this when I was growing up! The questions are very precise and are geared toward helping a person understand what type of individual they are, and what type of environment they feel comfortable in so they can figure out what kind of job will make them happy in life. The book also teaches how to go about securing a future for oneself that fits in with who they are. I ordered this book asap because it is an extremely helpful tool and easy to read.

I teach a College and Career readiness class and this is the book that I teach from. It's so great. We literally go from page to page and it covers everything! I love this book. Even for myself it really did solidify that I chose the right career. It gives me a lot of great ideas for lessons. My students love that its so chill and realistic.

I don't mind used but it was creepy used, and I wouldn't use it. Should have sent it back. The subject matter is probably ok but not read because the book is unappealing.

Disappointed in this book. I didn't think it was interesting for a teenage person to spend the time reading. And, the information was disappointing. Don't waste your time on this one.

I purchased this for my son to have at home as the school issued one is not to leave the class. It was exactly what I was looking for, was very helpful in completely the assigned on-line work, and the program is something I wish was around when I was in high school.

I'm using this for my teen to realize what he doesn't want, what he likes, what are the costs, and how much time is available. Not so much a career guide as much as it's useful to get the brain thinking. Overall, not complicated enough that my teen passes on doing the pages but detailed enough to bring about conversations.

This is a workbook so don’t buy it used. Mine was shown as good in the description, but every page was filled out by its owner in 1991. Totally useless book. Too bad, I’ve purchased several books from Amazon and found them to be almost new at a good price. This book must have slipped through the cracks.Also, a teen won’t spend time reading this book unless he has a Masters Degree in psychology. Way to complex and wordy.

This is a great book for teens to get them started looking at their future. What's great is that even their parents find the exercises interesting and often do them themselves!

Not what I was expecting. I was hoping for a guide that would help with a career choice not a fill-in type of book. I don't see how a teenager would ever go through this big chunk of useless questionnaire.I don't see how this book would help anyone with a career choice.
