Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron / Hair Straightenber Black (Red,pink or Black Plates) Dual Volatge 110v-240v

I bought this on a recommendation from a friend. I've had it for a little over 6 months now. It works great and still looks brand new. Plates heat up quickly, and have not damaged my hair. Definitely use a heat protector with it, but that is recommended for all flat irons.Depending on the thickness of your hair, you can adjust the heat settings. I have thin 1b hair and I set it to 400, and section my hair in small pieces with a boar bristle brush to further separate the strands. Best flat iron I have used.

Similiar to the previous reviewer I saw this straightener at the mall for over $200 and thought I was getting a great deal on Amazon. However the man at the mall explained that the paint would not flake off the plates like many cheaper staighteners because they were solid and not plated. However after having this straightener purchased from Amazon for about 6 months the pink coating on the plates began flaking off....actually even leaving chucks of paint in my hair. There is a strong burning spell whenever I turn the straightener on now and the metal plates under the pink paint are almost completely exposed. It appears this is a cheap rip-off of the $200 model sold in malls....do not be fooled like i was!

I purchased this same flat iron about 6 years ago and it was amazing and def worth the money. It finally died so time for a new one, of course that one was so great I decided to order the same one. Big mistake, this is no where near the quality and heat of my last one. It doesnt heat up as well as my old one and I can feel my hair ripping out as I use it. I would not recommend this, maybe if it was $20 but def not $100!!

I have natural hair and this curling iron has shown great results on my hair. I first saw this curling iron at a mall in las Vegas and the seller demonstrated it on my hair. So I came on amazon and bought the same one. At first I did not see the same results but once I adjusted the setting to the highest temperature it worked just fine.

I bought this for a friend who saw it at the mall for nearly 250 dollars. Needless to say, Amazon came through in the clutch on this one. She thoroughly enjoys it and uses it every day. It seems to do very well with creating curls since the outside of the straightener gets hot along with the ceramic plates.

I'm African American & I've been using this one for a couple years & loved it. Recently bought a sutra & need to see which is better lol. But I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking for a good flat iron that works.

I bought this a year ago to replace an incredibly effective and cheap drugstore model that my daughter took with her when she moved. I wanted to spend more money to get something really fantastic because I never wear my thick curly hair curly and efficiency is everything with this much hair on your head. Well, it was more money all right. That's where the perks ended. This straighter does, in fact, mostly straighten my hair. BUT, its hottest setting is nowhere near hot enough, I have to go over each section of hair 2-3 times to get it straight, I have to actually set it down and go find something to do between tiers so it can reheat, it takes EFFORT to hold it clamped to my hair, and my hand is frequently pinched in the hinge (this shouldn't happen). It also pulls hair. Not remotely worth the cost. I really miss that cheap straightener from the drug store!

I am not impressed by this flat iron. Beautiful packaging and iron. The plates that shouldn't move move around alot.
