Each flavor has it’s own personality, but lemon is still the OG that sets the tone.Indulge with me for one moment, let me walk down Memory Lane and share a funny story me and my childhood best friend still laugh about to this day…I use to run to the cornerstore and buy these grapeheads and take them to school and my best friend, Melanie LOVED them! (Now, this is an important fact to remember…I’m black, and my friend Melanie is white….stay with me here…you’ll understand the importance in the end 🤣😂). Well, we weren’t suppose to have candy in school, but I’m a rebel…plus, I loved Mel so much, and she loved those candies so much!. So during reading, I decided to pull out Mel’s candy and give them to her and we were chowing down on them, thinking we were getting away with something. The fact of the matter, I was but what my dear, sweet Mel didn’t realize was every time she ate the grapeheads, they turned HER mouth purple! 😂🤣 Well, Mrs. Murphy (our reading teacher) walked up and saw Melanie’s mouth purple and she asked Mel was she eating candy, and unbeknownst to Melanie that Mrs. Murphy KNEW the truth, Mel lied with her whole mouth purple! I mean she was sticking to her guns too! Mrs. Murphy must have asked her if she was sure about four times and Mel was just as adamantly saying no all four times! Well, I’m at this point laughing uncontrollably and I INSTANTLY got sent to the hall for making a ruckus in class! (I couldn’t help it!) So, Mel thought she was in the clear and she STILL chose to lie. Mrs. Murphy had had enough and went and got her compact mirror and made Mel look in the mirror at herself. That’s when she realized she was up the creek without a paddle! She got sent straight to the principal’s office and had to call her mom! Now, could/should I have told Mel the truth? Wellllll—maybe! But you have to know me…I’m a prankster! But—I also didn't let Mel go to the principal’s office alone. Even though I only got sent to the hall for laughing, Mrs. Murphy never knew I was eating candy…until I felt bad for Mel (as she cried past me on her way to the office!). So, again, because I loved Mel so much, I went and told Mrs. Murphy that I too had the candy and I showed her my tongue. So I was shuffled to the principal’s office to call my mother right after Mel! From that day forward, Mel never asked for any more candy! 😭 —- So I say all of that to say this…be forewarned…the grapeheads MAY turn your mouth purple! Just don’t lie about eating them, and you’ll be good! That’s the lesson here, folks, right!? 😅😂🤣Back to my review…I love having these boxes on hand—not just for a nostalgic pick-me-up, but also to share with friends (like I did with Melanie…she now lives in CO and I send them to her now even though she STILL won’t ask me for them) and family (my grandkids). These are also great for parties, goody bags, or just tossing in your purse for the little kids at church…or I just keep some for myself for a burst of flavor. If you’e a fan of old-school candy with a kick, this bundle is a must! They are so tasty and so totally timeless!

The candy is good and fresh. Pay no attention to those who complain about the price. Do any of you actually think that shipping is free? If you want a 25-cent box of candy, go to the store and find it. Otherwise, be prepared to pay for the cost of shipping. From my perspective, considering the rural location where I live, this box of candy is a bargain!

Ok I love lemonheads so I ordered this variety pack with had all the flavors but when we opened them they were melted and had green stuff and had 2 expiration dates. We ended up not eating them and throwing it away.

Purchased these for office valentine's gifts. Most were surprised at the different flavors, having only seen lemon heads before. So they suited my purpose. Having tried the different flavors, lemon heads are still number 1. I could not tell if it was the different flavors or the candy longevity, but the other flavors often tasted like they had been on the shelf for to long. I would try the different flavors again, but from a source where freshness was more guaranteed.

nostalgia ultra! i ordered specifically for the cherry heads after seeing lemon heads only available these days. i’ve never had a grape or apple head. my first box was the cherry heads. mmmm! i could slap yo mama! 😹
