Sunbeam Royal Ultra Ivy Heated Blanket - Full

This is my 2nd purchase of this exact same color and brand. My last sunbeam lasted 8 years and was used constantly during the winter months. The new controls are a good improvement and can more easily be seen in the dark. I love the warmth but not heavy weight on my feet and the quality of the material, in addition to it being washable, is an additional bonus of the product. Given all the above, and how long my previous one lasted the price point is more than fair. I kept the old blanket for my husband to use on his camping trips.

I've been trying to cut down utility costs and I hate running my old and loud heater at night. An electric blanket seemed like a good alternative so I went with Sunbeam because it is a semi-reputable brand for the sake of safety. Sunbeam isn't Sunbeam anymore, but they haven't tanked their reputation with poor quality goods yet so they are still in the tail end of enjoying their brand's name and making decent products.The blanket is super easy to use. The controller lets you set the temperature and how many hours you want it left on for. The wiring is very robust and the blanket is well made with no loose stitching or any other issues. It's very soft and comfortable. The only hard part is the cable coming out of the side and you'll really never notice it.I'd say the bulk of the blanket stays warm except for maybe 6 inches around the edges. I have a thermal camera and could see that the wires zig zagged right within that region when the heat was cranked up so that seemed to line up with what I could feel. Seems fine to me, the bulk of it is very warm and that's all I needed.You do need to be careful with an electric blanket; don't sharply crease or fold it, don't get it wet, don't get it dirty as you don't want to wash it too often. I usually put it on top over everything else and can still stay very warm.It's worked consistently and I've never had any issues with it. Plus I don't have to waste money to run my air heater anymore. I usually run it for an hour before bed and an hour in the morning and that's it, yet I can still sleep very warmly and comfortably. So this ended up being exactly what I needed.

Great purchase so far, I've had it about 3 weeks. I'd first bought a fluffier blanket with more features on the controller, but it kept slipping off the bed! Every morning the blanket would be sliding onto the floor from between the sheet and outer lightweight blanket like a piece of bologna from between 2 pieces of bread. Irritating - returned it after 3 nights of trying to make it work.This blanket is more like felt (not fluffy and slippery) and stays put. The controller is automatically set at level 6 (out of 12) each time you turn it on (does not remember your setting from last time, like the slippery one I tried) so that's slightly irritating but I can live with it. Also, the buttons on the controller make a fairly loud "click" which can be loud for a light-sleeping bed-partner. It takes a while to heat up fully, maybe 12-15 min. so plan ahead .Overall I am very happy with this purchase and it was more reasonably priced, too!

I found the blanket to be a nice color (newport blue) and soft. I was expecting it to be a bit thicker, but I guess you don't need a thick blanket if it is a heated blanket. I liked the temperature control- goes from 1 to 10. I have it on six now and I need to turn it down a bit. As others have mentioned, you can feel the wires through the blanket, and they are not evenly spaced. I would rather have evenly spaced, dense warming wires rather than the medium gauge wire that does not appear to go throughout the blanket. Next time, I might look at a higher priced option with denser heating coils throughout the blanket. I agree with others that the analog heat setting dial is antiquated and would be impossible to read in the dark. I also found it very weird that the power/heating cable is nice and long, but the heating dial is short from the point of the plug. If I had this on my bed with an outlet further away, it would be annoying to have to get out to reach the heating dial. Poor design- the dial needs to be a few feet from the blanket, not the outlet.It's definitely warm and soft, and the price is reasonable. Time will tell if it lasts. I'm hoping I don't experience the durability issues others have mentioned.

I bought this as a replacement when my heating blanket died after one season. I like this one. It fits my Cal king bed and lots of settings to choose from.

Really happy with my choice of a Sunbeam electric blanket. I read numerous electric blanket online reviews and decided on Sunbeam as they are a trusted name in electrical appliances as well as being very affordable too. The blanket was delivered ahead of schedule much to our delight (in time for the cold weather). The material is soft to touch and the colour is true to it's online description and photo. It fits our king size bed comfortably with enough width to drape over both sides of our bed. We pop the blanket on to warm about 5-10 mins before we hop in bed. There are adjustable temperatures depending on how cold you are and how warm you want your bed to be. We love the dual controls as my hubby turns in earlier than I do. He hated me waking him up with my cold hands and feet when I came to bed .. oh the joys of married life ha ha : ) ( : We both love our electric blanket we really do and agree it's the best item we've bought for our home and comfort in a long time. It's the little luxuries in life that keep you happy .. not to mention toasty warm when you really need it. Thank you Sunbeam, we're glad we took advantage of your promotional pricing too.
