This is a wonderful book about the powerful prayers and use of the Rosary. It is instructive, informational, and is a very useful resource from one of the great promoters of the Rosary. Praying and promoting the Rosary is a wonderful dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she has requested in so many apparitions. The history of the Rosary is so amazing. Vices are decreased and virtues increased. The promises attached to the recitation of the Rosary are very encouraging! Have your Rosary blessed by a priest. Keep a gallon of holy water at home. It was difficult to obtain in recent years. Consider praying an intentional Rosary. The intentions might be for the entire Rosary, decades of the Rosary, for the individual Hail Mary's, or for a combination of these. Some ideas for intentions for the entire Rosary might be for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls, souls in purgatory, priests, the Church, and all of the intentions of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Some ideas for intentions for the decades might be: in reparation for desecrated Hosts; in reparation for sacrilegious receptions of the Holy Eucharist; in reparation for unbelief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist; in reparation for lukewarm receptions of the Holy Eucharist; and in reparation for all of my sins and those of the whole world, for a great resurgence of belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, and for a great increase of love for Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Thin books are best. They get to the point quickly. There are many reasons to pray the rosary, and a several objections that can be easily addressed. Amazingly it’s all there and you have enough details to find an extra book on any specific topic. This is God’s gift through Mary, this is our shield and our sword against evils , internal & external. The rosary has saved many, and I hope you can be included in the count!

This book was very enlightening, and I really was able to learn more about just how important the rosary is. My opinion is that everyone should pray a rosary everyday, and this book helps to give more information on how to pray it, and why you should even pray it in the first place. It talks about the importance that it has on your soul, the importance it can have on the people around you, and how it can turn the worst sinners into people with a love for God. Through loving God's mother, it makes it easier to grow in love for God Himself. By creating a relationship with Mary, who He loves, we can grow in God's love greatly. Please try out this book and learn more about the rosary yourself!

If you are curious or are beginning the rosary, this is the book you need. It's a book that you can refer back to. This has always been a very cherished book of mine.

Every Catholic should read this!

It is succinct and written by St. Louis de Montfort, who also wrote another beautiful book: True Devotion to Mary.You will find multiple reflections on each mystery that you can use to meditate while you say the Rosary as well.

I am so thankful I found and read this book. It changed the way I pray the rosary. I highly recommend it.

I really loved this little book! It has helped me a lot with praying my rosary more devoutly. However, I am shocked at one small paragraph on page 54 of this book. I'll paraphrase but please check it out yourself. It is a vision St. Gertrude had.Page 54: "I saw our Lord counting gold coins and I asked him what He was doing. He answered me 'I am counting the Hail Marys you have said. This is the money with which you can pay your way to Heaven."This is down right wrong and heretical. You cannot pay your way to Heaven. The Bible does not teach that and the Catholic Church does not teach that and a protestant can read this and be misguided and reject the Church and therefore lose hid soul because of this.I don't really know what to make of this because it is a Saint (DeMontfort) seemingly praising another Saint's "vision". Other than that the book is great.

A beautiful inspiring classic that everyone should read

I found my way back to religion in the recent times. My faith increased several fold after watching Eternal World Television Network EWTN. They do a fantastic job. I picked up the name of several books from there. The secret of Rosary by Saint Louis De Montfort in 1716 and the excellent translation by Arch Bishop Thomas E Molloy is a good read.Most religious books talk about religion in long laborious paragraphs. Not this. The book is crammed with short narratives - real life incidents in chapter after chapter. If you are a Catholic, this book is a must read. You will know why Rosaries are important - also how you should recite them for the best effect.I need to hand it to Amazon - Amazing. I am buying almost everything from them - from meat cleavers to books, from Deep Freezers to Microwave Ovens. There are many items available only in Amazon - this book is an example.
