Vibram FiveFingers V-ON Kids

Our whole family wears FiveFingers, so my husband and I were delighted to find these designed with the youngest wearers in mind. Unlike other FiveFingers, the tongue has strong velcro strips running down both sides lengthwise. This allows you to lift the entire tongue up and out of the shoe all the way down to the toe. It's ideal for young kids who need help getting their toes into the shoe's "fingers." I spread the shoe wide open, put my child's foot inside, then run my finger down each toe to make sure it's sitting in the right place. The velcro makes this kind of access quick and easy. The velcro itself is strong and sticks well. We haven't had any problems with it popping open as my daughter walks. The shoes stay on even when my daughter wears them on the gym's climbing wall. Well worth the money to get your child started on the barefoot path.

These are my son's first Vibrams five finger toe shoes. He loves them mostly because I also wear them. They fit decently, as in they don't hurt him, but only his first couple toes actually go into the toes on the shoes. I will say an unforeseen problem I'm having now is finding kids sized toe socks for him, I ordered a 6 pack the other day and they ended up being too big for him. (they fit my size 12 men feet fine though, so not a total loss)Anyways, the first pair I ordered were a bit small and too tight for him, I returned them and ordered one size bigger the next day after Amazon refunded me and they just arrived. The whole experience has been great for having ordered shoes for a 6 year old online. No hassles along the way at all. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or to anyone reading. I have amazon prime which probably made the experience slightly better (no shipping costs either way)

I really wanted to love these for our little as we love ours but...well they were an ordeal! Once they are on, they are wonderful and he can run, and jump, and play, and be in and out of the water in warm weather as we wanted. However, getting them onto a 4-year old is ridiculous! It takes 20 minutes every time. I wouldn't wish that on any parent. If your littles can get them on alone, then they would be great but ours couldn't and really really wanted to because they look so cool!

They aren't supposed to provide good arch support. They are minimalist shoes...barefoot! These are wonderful if you are trying to respect your foot's natural running form without the hinderance of bulky typical "running" shoes. They do take some getting used to as in building up callouses where needed and lengthening the achilles if you have forever been in typical running shoes. Once accustomed to them, you will never return to "normal" shoes. These rock!

I gave it 4 stars because they look great and well made. I intended on returning them (but forgot) because they run too small, though. Now, I have a great new pair of these shoes that cannot be worn.

Have to wait till user grows into them a little more but they seem to work well. Arch support is not needed since we have a built in arch when we are born.

fabric on / near the toes started to decay / tear within a month of receiving, but my son still loves them.. I expected better durability for the price.

I bought these for my 10-year-old nephew who loves to run around barefoot all day. He loves them and has them on all the time.
