After using camping blankets and towels to cover my seats when returning from the gym (lots of perspiration), I gave up on trying to find a fitted seat cover for the Golf R after a couple years of looking; I guess that the volume isn't enough to justify a specific seat cover for this model.The Alfa Gear is a good compromise. It has rubber-like nubbins on the backing of the cover which really work to keep it from sliding around without leaving residue or otherwise damaging the leather seat surface, even with repeated use. The backing also appears to be highly impermeable, which means that the cover won't "wet-through", which is impressive. The microfiber nap is deep and plush, similar to high-quality buffing MF towels for car care, and it has stayed fluffy and lint-free without matting after several washes and near-daily use.I now have 2 of them, one for each of the front seats, for when I'm picking kids up from practice or after mountain biking.They look good, but nothing like a fitted cover; more like a perfectly sized towel that doesn't slide around the seat. The cover is rectangular, and the "top" has a short strap and nyloc-type side-release buckle to loop around the headrest or top of the seat. I wish it were adjustable because it is just slightly too big in circumference to keep the top from working its way down the headrest over time or if pulled -- but it still protects the seats great and probably works fine on seats with a slightly greater headrest circumference.Overall I'm pleased. These are reasonably priced, durable, washable (hang dry -- I wouldn't risk putting the rubberized backing in a dryer at any temp), and look good enough that I am not compelled to remove them after each use. And interestingly, under hard driving they actually help secure me in the seat better than sitting directly on the leather because of the grip between leather surface and rubberized backing; I slide around much less when they are installed.

I bought this item to help protect my seats as i work out of lakes & pools frequently. In the description it describes it to be waterproof & it’s not waterproof even in the slightest.

this seat cover is great ! throws on easy ,doesn't slip, very comfortable . I bought one prime day to try for covering the seat hat my dog sits on . 10 out of 10 . I ordered 2 more for us to sit on , we live in Hawaii and go to the beach often , these keep the sand and salt water and everything you might drop on the seats while at play .They go on and off in seconds about 3 seconds , look good and feel good . Take em off for work or going out . would highly recommend

My pit bull pup loves to ride shot gun which made me sooo nervous with new leather seats. She loves this new seat cover since it’s much more comfortable than the slippery leather seat. It’s very soft, stays in place and is an extremely convenient solution.

Definitely feels high quality and water proof. Feels alittle warm but living in the south and sitting on what is essentially a blanket, what can you expect. Definitely feel like it is protecting my seat.

Skeptical to order, but WOW the minute I put it on my seat I fell in love and wished I would have ordered sooner!! Have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson that it light gray interior and ordered the gray color which looks super sharp!! They sit secure on seat with grippers! Super soft and comfy and works great with seat warmers too!! Perfect for me I eat a lot in my car and catches my crumbles! Love it that I can wash them and super easy to install with only one clip in the back by headrest! Super product!!

It is great just a little annoy that I have to hold the side down when I get in or it bunches up. But I do love they if I make a mess, I can easily take it off and wash it. It is nice in the colder weather too
