IwachuJapanese Iron Tetsubin Teapot, Medium, Black Hailstone Pattern

Looks quite small but holds bit (5 of the small matching iron cups by Iwachu) and it is fun and romantic! Also keeps the tea hot for quite a bit (I bring the water to almost boil on my electric coiled stove top). I just wish it came with something to take out the hot tea strainer as Im lifting it out with forks so it doesn't over brew.

The media could not be loaded.  Love this with the matching tea cup. It is hard to judge size in Amazon photos however this will hold about 2 coffee cups or 6 smaller matching tea cups. Well made!

Does indeed hold 10 ounces, or about one large mug of tea. Doesn't keep tea very warm, even with pre-heating. But included basket does a very good job and is easy to remove when tea has steeped long enough.Very elegant and pairs nicely with the hobnailed teacup, which means that you get about 4 of the hobnailed cup servings. Heavy enough it won't be knocked off of the table by a cat.

A very beautiful Japanese tetsubin, it is well made and has a good weight to it for its size. It retains heat well and brews a nice cup of tea. Do not use on the stovetop, for brewing tea only!

I like that the pot stays hot so long.

Very good quality. Perfect size at 16 oz. I have seen cheaper versions but am very glad I went with an authentic Iwachu as the quality is top notch. I have no doubt that the enamel will stay in place and not flake like other brands. This is for brewing tea not boiling water.
