The Most Fascinating Magazine for Non Psychologists
I've been reading this magazine for over 3 years straight. I have no interest in Psychology as a profession. But I find the articles to be endlessly educational for insight into just about everything. It's written in layman's terms so you don't really have to be in the mental health services to understand it, or worry that it's full of scholarly writing and research that bores you. I have been surprised at how much I've learned about how people think, how I think, and how that translates into everyday life, never mind the larger issues of life. I think everybody should read it, like the newspaper or something. I guarantee, that you won't read an issue and not find at least 2-3 educational (but not too academic) articles that benefit you.

Not a professional but a follower of this magazine!
Overall: As someone interested in mental well-being and not a professional, I still found this magazine useful and interesting.Pros:A good variety of articles for each issueIssues are packed with content and sufficient for the priceGreat exposure to the trends and science of today's psychologistsCons:A lot of well-being literature seems to include spiritual and religious encouragement for those that are followers of a religion. I felt some of the articles were a bit hostile towards those that do not practice atheism.

If you interested in what makes people tick, this is the mag for you
This has been one of my favorite magazines for years because it explains why we or others act the way we do. It's not a technical magazine for therapists and psychologists; it's for regular people who are interested in our culture and ourselves. Has it changed my life? Not really. But it has made me more accepting of others and I think it has also given me a lot of "conversation" topics - as in "I read in Psychology Today that ---" which gives whatever thought I have some credibility. I immediately start reading this magazine when it shows up in the mail and I pass it on to frieds. It never ends up in the recycle bin at my house.

Cool Magazine.
Psychology Today is a great, unique magazine. It's good for anyone with a curiosity in human behavior, mental health, current studies, fascinating articles, and psychology.Perfect for professionals, students, and anyone with a healthy dose of curiosity. This is not a boring magazine. It's even teenager-friendly. It always reveals cool facts, new scientific studies and outcomes, words of psychologists and other such professionals, and it's really a mashup of everything and anything relevant to science, health, and behavior. And oftentimes, humor. It's a shame that it doesn't even come bi-weekly, or monthly, but I can't really imagine most people not enjoying reading this, along with the photos and illustrations. Actually I don't even remember how often they came. That's how faraway the issues were spread out...but of course you will know that if you go for this.I personally think the magazine subscription is pretty expensive, but I'd like to say it's worth a try. They are easy reads, perfect for a waiting room, for a plane ride, anywhere where you can stand not using your phone.I haven't honestly read all of them. I am too interested in Time, and The New York Times Magazine, and the personal essays in Marie Claire and Glamour.I got this special deal and I ended up with way too many magazine subscriptions to keep up with. Even ones I don't care about. You will enjoy Psychology Today, I am pretty confident of that. It's a thin magazine, with really easy language and illustrations. It's an eye-opener. It's surprisingly fun to read. It's not a really heavy type of reading. It's lighter, and entertaining. But also, with totally relevant, interesting articles. It teaches you a lot of stuff you never knew.Try it out.

Great magazine
This magazine is filled to the brim with great stuff. Just be careful picking it up, you may spill a little. If you are interested in relationships and how to optimize your interactions with people, then subscribe to the paper version as well as frequent the online goldmine. Also, FaceBook has a Psychology Today link worth connecting to so you can get updates on interesting articles and the comments from a wide variety of people. Dr. House may call some of the commentary idiotic, but there are perspectives that fuel thought and insight into the meat of meat-heads...and that actually has some merit.

Do not subscribe this way, unreliable
This magazine is great and I will never buy a subscription through Amazon again. I only received a few magazines even though I was supposed to get 6. I couldn't ever track when or where my shipment was. It was terrible, just subscribe through the magazine!
