Rain-X 5071268 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellant - 23 oz., 2- PackCondition NewFirst of all if anyone has used those expensive glass nano coating protectants, they know that on the good side, they are alcohol type liquidswhich evaporate quickly when applied. The trade-off is a strong chemical smell which literally takes the oxygen out of the air and almost knocksyou out without proper ventilation. Rain-X 2 in 1 is not like that. It has more of an oil base type texture and no smell. Can it clean, yes, can itcoat and protect your glass, yes, just not at the same time! Think about it and adjust your expectations. First, hose or rinse the glass off removing any large, loose dirt. Come back when dry. Apply Rain-X 2 in 1 with a soft cotton applicator towel. Yes, it streaks like hell and feels oily at first(as it should as it’s filling the non visible porous glass surface). I apply it in a circular motion and make sure not to miss any spots. Let it dry fora minute or two then come back with a dry soft cotton cloth. Buff out the surface. If you can still see streaks from your towel, then you need to get an EVEN finer towel. You will know because a very fine towel will NOT leave streaks only, a very slight haze when buffed out. That’s ok. Leave it foran hour and use as normal. When water first hits it, it beads like crazy. When dry, it shines with no haze, watermarks or streaks. Nothing.It lasts for about 2 weeks but if you simply hose it down again, you can extend this a little longer. I stocked up on this and saved a ton intime and money from those expensive glass protectants. Oh, it also works good on cars too! :)

I am really happy with how easy and effective this product is.

I like to not use my wipers at all when the formula is applied on my windshield. It does make it leave traces of the substance however, especially a white big line where the right wiper ends when turned all the way towards the left of the windshield. That happens with their rainx wipers too. It cleans the windshield pretty nicely. Once a month or so I will need to reapply the cleaner. In the end this helps use the wipers less, extending their life.

Does a great job repelling water and making it so you essentially don't have to use your wipers in the rain. As long as you are moving, the water will bead up and roll right off of the windshield. The only downside is that in a light mist, it's not usually enough water coming down to bead up so it forms a ton of little tiny drops and if you don't have good wipers it'll sort of smear itself around. But again, if you're moving and it's actually raining, this product is great. Works well as a general glass cleaner too!

This stuff is amazing! It was recommended to us from the guy who installed our glass shower doors during our remodel. We were hesitant to put in clear glass because of the upkeep with it. But, if you clean it with this, it leaves a protective film on it that prevents water marks and calcium build up. I am so glad we got it, and I am so glad we got clear glass shower doors because they make the space look bigger than frosted shower doors would. This stuff really works. I won’t use anything else to clean my shower doors!

I've used RainX for years and really like it. This product seemed too good to be true in that it could clean the windows and provide protectant so the the rain just beads away.I hate to say it, but it is too good to be true. This product does clean the windows as well as any other glass cleaner but it just does not bead the water like regular RainX. Sorry.

I have used Rain-X products since 1999, and though they might be a little hard on Wiper Blades, I never have a problem with visibility, and that's what is important, especially when getting caught in some of the snow storms here in Utah, even when the temps get below 20 degrees, the Orange 2 in 1 windshield washer fluid doesn't freeze. The glass cleaner I bought for my 1972 V W Bug and there is something in the upholstery that fogs up the windows with a film during the heat of the day. I just finished cleaning all of the windows on the inside, and there isn't any visible film fogging up the windows any more at all even during the heat of the day, and it get about 125 degrees inside the Bug during the day. Works great. Was expecting rain/snow mix later this evening so I sprayed/wiped down my car windows with this stuff. When the rain/snow came, it literally just bounced off the windows so that I could set my wipers on their slowest speed. Normally the rain/snow builds up on the windows or starts to streak (I need new wipers), but with this stuff I had no problems with visibility. I don't know how long it will last between applications but it's easy enough to just use the day before you're expecting bad weather.
