Briggs & Stratton 799045 Starter Motor Replaces 795092/695550/691376

Perfect fit, worked great, making pulling to start a thing of the past for me. Love the electric start.The small battery my craftsman mower came with finally went dead so I bought a larger battery andmounted it on the deck and rewired and not I have a monster electric start. I almost love mowingmy year -- key word is "almost". This starter is strong, In the end, my smaller battery checked outwith 12 volts on my meter but it turned out it was dead and for some reason can still register 12 volts butnot strong enough to turn the starter. I bought the new Starter and really did not need it as I found outwhen I mounted a new battery. Still the starter is fair priced and new and works great, once the propercurrent is applied. Now my old starter is a back up.

Used this starter to replace a 795092 with a frozen bendix on it that was partially burned anyway. Bolted right up to the motor, even tried to crank the engine over. Apparently the decompression mechanism on the cam has flown apart inside this particular engine and I'm waiting on the new cam to come in to do a proper repair, but all in all starter worked and fit as advertised with no issues. Instructions that come with the starter show how to modify the air shroud if needed but in my case the shroud was nowhere near the starter in the affected areas so it was just plug and play. If only the rest of the engine would have cooperated...

when you go to my model of toro lawnmower they say this is the replacement starter, when it is indeed not. By the time you figure this out, you’ve got your lawn more parts you have to look around for the right starter replacement instead of us.

This was an exact replacement for the original starter motor that started failing on me this spring. Easy to remove the old one and install the new one. Works like a champ!

I am a homeowner and found this to be generally simple to install. Make sure your motor has the holes set for this before buying and that the flywheel has the matching gears or you will also need to replace it as well. Wiring diagram is useless, but simply connect one wire to positive and the other to ground. No need for a starter relay or anything. It does not draw more than a few amps. But with the lack of a wiring diagram I did puzzle over how to power it since I was used to starters that needed a separate starter system with a starting relay.

Perfect fit for my 21" Troy Bilt 190cc self propelled lawn mower with Briggs and Stratton engine.The old bracket supporting the electric starter broke putting gear on starter motor out of alignment and stripping the gear. Couldn't find part number for the bracket only. Bought whole new assembly and it fit perfectly. Took about 15 minutes to repair. Now good as new.

12 year old Toro starter gear won't move up and down on shaft. Bought this starter which is a B&S part. As noted in other review the new starter looks different but it fits and has same electric plug. Instructions said I should cut blower housing, but all I had to do was bend the lower edge of the blower housing a little to make it clear. Works great.
