Suitable substitute for SACDV 3/4" valve
Legacy rubber washer type 3/4 inch valve on Hudson Reed Tec shower valve began leaking. HR recommended replacing the legacy valve with a SACDV ceramic disk 1/4 turn valve. The Kohler 1000188 valve was a suitable substitute. Once cover plate and handles were removed, replacement took less than 5 minutes. The only fit/finish issue was the set screw that holds the handle on the Kohler valve is #10-32 thread which is different from that used on the HR but is available in stainless steel from the local big box hardware store. Overnight delivery, perfect fit, 1/3 the price or less of ordering a replacement from the UK. Gotta love it!

Was available more quickly from Amazon than any of my primary suppliers. Part was an OEM factory replacement. Perfect.

The item fit excellent the only thing is
I have an American standard walking tub I broke the hot water valve and they where going to charge me 80 for the part. When I came across this item I was so shock. The item fit excellent the only thing is, it doesn't have a threaded top like the original but I definitely can deal with that ,thank you

I used this for a replacement for my Hansa shower valve. Previous owner put in this shower unit that was made in Germany and is now discontinued. Could not find this part anywhere and a Reddit user suggested this Kohler valve and it did the trick. Posting picture of thr Hansa valves I replaced in case anyone ever in the same boat. 3/4 size on the right.
