The green lipped mussel extract does help for arthritis and other painful joint issues . Byer make a similar product called Megaflex ( as a powder ) for dogs and I have witnessed personally that it works wonders and fast on dogs but the recommended dose is 6 gms. per day for a dog of 18 kg. . Byer do not make a human equivalent . The megaflex smells strongly of dried mussels and is very fishy so I suggest we stick with capsules formulated for humans . By the same yardstick the dose for a 60 kg. adult should be 18 gms. per day . Please consult your Doctor as to how much you should take . I do not think one can overdose on these capsules easily . I have personally eaten upto 150 gms. at a time drained weight excluding the shells of these mussels fresh on several occasions with no ill effects . Please note that you should be non vegetarian to take these capsules . They are definitely not Vegetarian and even in the capsule have some typical shell fish smell . Also you should not be allergic to shell fish .

I have been using green lip mussel capsule for my senior dog. I give her half a capsule twice daily with food. It has helped her achy joints a lot. Because of this supplement, I don't need to give her any pain medication. I strongly recommend this supplement for senior dogs.

The product is good. However, a sudden increase in price by almost 50% makes it not worthy.

Very good product improves muscular pain and athritis

My dog and I both vomited after taking this. Seems like a bad product.
