I live in the desert and a lot of the year have sticker bushes. There are a few different kinds and the stickers always end up in our shoes, in the cars, and in the house. You think Legos hurt when you step on one in the middle of the night? - try stepping on stickers (aka goat heads) with bare feet! Yowzers!Anyway, I try to keep the bushes at bay by going over them with the hoe, but that really just spreads them more and only gets the top part and not the roots. I tried to pull the smaller sticker plant out at the base with regular garden gloves and ended up yanking my hand back up because I had gotten poked and had several pricks with needle size gloops of blood. And I couldn’t even get the plant out! (The stickers on that particular plant were right at the base where I’d normally pull from in order to get the entire plant, root and all).I figured I needed some pruning gloves and decided to give these a go. I’m so glad I did because the day I received them, I went to my backyard straight to that pesky sticker plant and slowly grasped the base and quickly discovered I was able to pull the whole plant out of the ground! No pain! No pin pricks! I thought maybe it was a fluke and that that particular plant had no pokies. I pulled the second plant and the third and pretty soon all of the plants were out and in the waste bin. No pain!These gloves work great on sticker bushes! I even decided to try my hand at the largest bush and pulled that, too! Since the gloves are long and cover my arm just up to nearly my elbows, my arms didn’t get scratched either.They’re also great for picking up tumbleweed bushes either in the ground or tumbling dry around the yard.Pulling weeds is definitely more “fun” with these because they make it painless.I only have one complaint, but it doesn’t bother me enough to remove a star on the final 5 star rating and that is: The gloves would slip down my fingers because they fit a bit large and I had to keep pulling them up to tighten them. However, I don’t know if this is due to the size I got or because the way they’re made. Like I said, though, not much of a bother because I’d rather pull the gloves taught every several weeds I pull than be stuck every weed I pull/attempt to pull.

The fit great and are made to last. they protect well up the arms.

Useing these gloves to load a very hot wood burning stove no more burning my arms with short leather gloves! They completely protect all the way up to my elbow! Best Christmas gift ever!!!
