Sachiyo Ishii has created 28 delightful mini knitted creatures along with a forest floor play mat, mushrooms, trees, treestumps and a gnome with a toadstool house to complete the scene. The animals only require small amounts of readily available yarn. They are easy to knit, and follow one of two basic sewing-up techniques, both of which are clearly shown using step-by-step photography. There are clear, simple knitting patterns and step-by-step photographs and instructions for all the other techniques, including the stuffing methods and the embroidery needed for the features and details. Beautiful.
This woman is sincerely talented. I haven't started knitting them yet, so I can't speak to the patterns, only the visual designs. Which are wonderful. So much magic and creativity in this book. It would make a great play set for a child, and I know someone who is doing an advent calendar with them, kind of like Playmobil but with none of the plastic and all of the love. Brilliant.

My father's new wife loves to knit toys for her daughter. I got this as a gift. All I know about the product is that the receiver of the gift was very excited to try the patterns. I thought it was adorable.

Wonderful book!!
I have all of Sachiyo Ishii‘s books, and they’re all wonderful! I have made a large number of tiny gifts for friends, and they’ve all turned out beautifully. Any chance of a new book featuring fantasy creatures like unicorns and dragons??

I've got the other book, mini knitted safari. So I couldn't wait to receive this book, having known that the safari one was so good!! And yes, this one ticks all the boxes aswell!! Love love love it!! I've made a Hare and started to make a skunk. Their easy and quick to make, and suitable for young or old to do!! I love both of Sachiyo Ishii's books, and I think she should make 2 more. "Mini knitted farm" and "mini knitted sea life". I would order them without a doubt!!

Nice Book
I was looking for further mini knit patterns to complement my collection of patterns of monchimonchiland. The book is easy to read an very explication. I am happy with this found because most of patterns that you find in magazines are for crochet. I am glad that this book exists.

How clever! Lots of fun to knit. Great way to use up the stash bits and pieces and the grand kids love the little worlds created.

I love this book of adorable animals!
This book is so cute and easy to follow. I have adored making all of the adorable animals in this book and have had so many requests from friends and family to make them little animals. I love that you can make them as is or turn them into keychains which I have also done. Highly recommend you purchase! Great for either beginners or more advanced knitters.
