## Description

desertcart.com The 36-pound Adjustable Kettle Versa Bell from Stamina packs six kettlebell weights into one discrete unit. The Versa Bell features a 16-pound base and cast-iron handle and holds five additional steel weight plates inside the interior of the frame. This innovative design allows you to workout with the weight in six weight levels, from 16 to 36 pounds--while saving space and the expense of purchasing individual kettlebells. The Versa Bell is designed for ease of use with a simple locking pin that allows you to choose your weight setting of 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, or 36 pounds. The Versa Bell comes with a square base pad that holds the weights that aren't in use. In addition, the Versa Bell offers a sturdy base that allows you to use it for off-the-floor pushups as well as a large grip that allows for a one-or-two-handed hold.Specifications:Cast iron handle Steel weight plates Resistance: adjusts from 16 to 36 pounds in four-pound increments 16-pound base weight Wide handle for one or two-handed grip Comes with owner's manual No assembly required 90-day warranty About Kettlebells: Traditional kettlebells are made from cast iron and have been described as resembling a bowling ball with a handle. The round part of the kettlebell is the main weight, and when you hold the handle it displaces that weight away from your body. This makes the physics of lifting different than with regular weights or dumbbells. When you lift, lower, or swing the kettlebell, your stabilizing muscles engage so your entire body is working, including your core muscles. Product Description Save Space, Build Strength With the Stamina Adjustable Kettle Versa-Bell, there is no need for entire kettlebell sets. One Versa-Bell replaces an entire set of conventional kettlebells or dumbell sets at a fraction of the cost and takes up very little storage space because the weights can be stored either inside the kettlebell or on the square base pad. The kettlebells adjustable weight- four pound increments, ranging from 16 to 36 pounds- let you customize your strength training intensity just as an entire set of kettlebells would. There's No Isolation with Kettlebells Kettlebell workouts burn body fat, build strength, increase joint mobility and even improve cardio fitness. The round part of the adjustable kettlebell is the main weight, and when you hold the handle it displaces that weight away from your body. This makes the physics of lifting different than with regular small weights or dumbbells. When you lift, lower, or swing the kettlebell, your stabilizing muscles engage so your entire body is working, including your core muscles. There is no such thing as isolating a muscle with kettlebell exercises. Review: Better than a Klondike Bar - PROS: Easy to use, easy to change weights, easy to snap the magnet strip back, space saver, no discomfort in using two hands on the handle, low weights were easy to begin with for a beginner, love the weight pad, very fun to use and switch weights on the fly. Bottom padded rim on the bell is well attached and the whole bottom red plastic is durable enough to hold its weight. Cons: bit of a hassle to put back the bell to rack up, the logo piece came up a bit... will have to see why or what can be done about that. Summary: I look forward to my morning workout with the versa bell lots of fun... as a beginner if it gets tough I can easy switch the weight and keep working out with a lighter weight. Loads of fun swinging the weight around too. Over all great product.
Review: Been quite pleased with this as a starter set - Packaged securely and easy to unpack. Came with instructions that were clear. Build quality was a pleasant surprise … smooth edges, good fit, durable padding where it’s needed and comes with a storage mat. The starter weight is fine for men starting out; 16lb may be a bit much for beginner women. I could see needing more weight past 36 lb but the market seems to top out around there so I would guess it’s a safer concern to go higher. The pin locking mechanism is straightforward and easy to change. There’s really no way to screw it up; the safety design is excellent. It makes a faint clunking sound when loaded with weights, but that is inherent in adjustable kettlebells and it is pretty quiet. Certainly not an issue. The handle is slightly knurled and shaped well; fits my workout very well (some competitors that is not true) Only two weeks in, but durability appears quite good. Recommended gear for beginners and less aggressive long-term kettlebell exercisers. Great value for money.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems pretty well thought-out
*by J***N on December 17, 2010*

Pros: Shaped (pretty much) like a traditional bell; weight changes are super quick and easy Cons: A lot of plastic, slight rattling from the weight plates New to kettlebell training, so I don't have a lot of experience to rate this against other types of bells. The handle and top of the dome that you see in the picture is metal, the red part is a plastic dome that conceals the weight plates. It seems sturdy enough for its intended use (lifting, swinging, etc.), but I could imagine shattering the plastic pretty easily if I dropped it on a hard surface. The internals seem pretty solid though. Not perfectly round, it's slightly flattened on the sides parallel with the handle, but the top portion is round. Weight changeover is amazingly quick, pull down a rubber bumper on the side, slide the pin out, put it back in the new hole, flip the bumper back up, and lift. Five seconds, tops, and foolproof. It has an internal weight stack, unused weights remain on the floor on an included mat. My other first impression is that it is pretty big--think volleyball size. Doesn't bother me, but it's considerably bigger than the 35-pound solid bell at my gym. A typical 16-pound fitness bell would probably be a third of the size.
