ARCTICMX-4 - 20 Grams

It has worked fine in all the systems I have built. No over heating.

To start off, I've not actually started using this 20g tube. I'm still using the 4g tube that I've bought a couple of years back. Ever since I started assembling desktops as a hobby, I've found it indispensable.The 20g tube is good value for 19.90. So instead of going for the smaller 4g tube, I decided to just get the 20g tube since I doubt I'd stop assembling desktops any time soon.The Arctic MX-4 is easy to apply and it's very effective. It brought my CPU's temperature down significantly. When I upgraded to the Intel 2500K processor, I was able to get very good temperatures on air, even after overclocking it to 4.5GHz. This was with the CM Hyper 212 cooler. The MX-4 is also non-electricity conductive, so for beginners, or even advanced users, it can be a good thing when you've accidentally gotten some onto the board. At least you know the board won't short.Also, I applied it on my GTX460 and managed to bring those temperatures down as well.All in all, I'm a very happy user of the Arctic MX-4 and will recommend this to anyone looking for an effective, easy to use and value for money thermal compound.

The proof is in the data. I replaced some generic HY510 thermal paste with MX-4 and have seen excellent improvement in CPU temperatures. Exhaust temperature was reduced somewhat, as well as lower fan speeds needed to maintain temp.As far as installation goes, I cleaned the top of the CPUs and heatsink thoroughly, until I stopped getting silver material rubbing off on my cleaning pad. I then applied a small amount on the top of the CPU and used a razor blade to spread it out on top of the CPU evenly. The paste is rather tacky enough to not spread out on its own, but spreadable enough with minimal force.I've uploaded a graph showing before and after thermal results from the server. The hottest CPU dropped by more than 10C after application.

This thermal paste handles four things very well: 1- It's perfect for low mounting pressure heatsink. 2- cleans very easily. 3- Conducts heat as well as other thicker pastes such as Artic Silver 5 and IC diamonds without the cons. 4- It's perfect for beginners.I have a gaming laptop, while they are designed to handle more heat than the average gaming PC I noticed that the temperature was getting toasty lately. CPU hits high 80c and the GPU in the high 70c range. The process of replacing the thermal paste on my laptop is actually a pretty straight forward process so I originally bought Artic Silver 5. I used the pea method on both the GPU and the CPU. I saw an improvement on the GPU side by 7c! But the CPU actually got worse. The difference in temperature between cores widened and it was running hotter. I open it again and I noticed that the paste was not spreading properly. It was just too damn thick. I guess the mounting pressure especially on the CPU side was not enough to spread the paste. I bought MX4 in hope that it's thinner and I was right! I saw a massive improvement after using MX4 on the CPU. Now it doesn't go over 80c. I highly recommend buying this over thick pastes if you are repasting a laptop or a game console. It's safe and not conductive and basically fool proof. I didn't give it 5 stars because the tip of the tube is too big and you might over spill it if you are not very gentle.

I was under the impression that Arctic Silver 5 was the best thermal paste there was. It was honestly very scary stuff to use, considering one drip on the video card below would short it out, since the paste is very conductive. My computer idled at around 28 degrees. Well, I saw this and tried it out. There are absolutely no cons to this stuff. As far as a product goes, this is perfect. It's not conductive, It's supposed to last for 8 years without compromising its integrity, and my computer now idles at 15 degrees celsius!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's colder than room temperature! Amazing!

I have a computer with a Intel CPU that I had been using for over 8 years. The Intel Desktop Utility was telling me that the CPU was overheating if it was running anywhere near 100%. I guessed that the old thermal paste had dried out or otherwise lost cooling efficiency.So I did some research and found this thermal paste and ordered it and used it on my old CPU. I was surprised to see what a difference this made. I can run my CPU at 100% now if I want to and it doesn't overheat. I didn't run into any trouble applying the thermal paste to the old CPU. This was the very first time I'd done this.I should probably mention that it takes very little of this thermal paste to treat a CPU. So you probably don't want to order 20 grams of it unless you are going to be using it all the time.

We probably spend over $50,000 a year on Amazon for our business, so finding the right parts in a timely matter at an affordable price so I can make some profit is key. In 2011, I built my first PC. In my researching, I found this thermal paste and used it in my build. That computer is still running today and still remains in the same temperature range under load as it did in 2011.In 2012, my PS3 began overheating under light load. The fan would spin very fast and would be very loud under low load. I disassembled it, cleaned out the old thermal paste (which had dried out completely) with rubbing alcohol, and applied this paste. Since then, the fan has never, not even on a hot day in the summer (our house doesn't have air conditioning), been as loud as it was before.I love this stuff. It's my go-to thermal paste for any application. I now work with computers daily. While I rarely need to reapply thermal paste to a computer, there are times where an overheating computer requires a fresh application of thermal paste. This is always my go-to paste, and it has never let me down. I recommend this paste to everyone.

Bueno la utilice para reemplazar la poca que quedaba en mi xbox 360 slim que últimamente se colgaba a menudo dejando imagen congelada, hacia ya unos 8 años que la tenia y nunca le había cambiado la pasta térmica solo la había abierto para quitarle el polvo y nada mas pero con esas fallas deduje lo que pasaba y efectivamente al quitar el disipador me encontré con una pasta medio seca, la quite toda limpie muy bien el chip que me podía reflejar el rostro y puse la nueva pasta térmica Artic MX-4 fue como poner aceite en una luz, ahora incluso he notado que hace menos ruido el ventilador y parece que ya no tiene caídas de fps como si hubiera mejorado la potencia incluso, total según el fabricante te garantiza 8 años de buen funcionamiento tanto en pc's como en supuestas consolas, muy contento de la compra.

Qualità della pasta termica elevata, il prezzo in confronto é uno dei più convenienti, usata sui portatili al posto della pasta termica stock che é sempre pessima, su schede video, console e pc fissi, é adatta per tutto non essendo conduttiva, rispetto a paste più economiche/stock ho guadagnato da un paio si gradi a 5-6°. Il metodo migliore per metterla é mettere un chicco al centro e schiacciarla col dissipatore, dopo aver pulito la superficie con alcool(quella rosa va benissimo) senza poi ritoccare pasta e cpu con le dita.
