High build quality, secure, and easy installation
Something I want to point out that's not mentioned in the product description: These say they're a 13/16" Hex size, but it's actually a combination 13/16" and 3/4" hex; you can see in the picture if you look closely. These are some of the best wheel locks for the money. The spinning shroud on the outside is an incredibly simple addition, but also incredibly effective. Would-be thieves can't just use an easy-off or pliers or jam a socket on there, because it will just spin the outer shroud. So awesome. Also, the gorilla locks are also keyed differently from one set to the next, so someone couldn't just go to an auto-parts store and buy a set of these and be able to take YOUR wheel locks off. I highly recommend this product. And I know that you probably don't know me. At all. But if you did you'd know that my opinion doesn't really matter. So don't take my word for it. But know that THESE WHEEL LOCKS HAVE FOREVER ALTERED THE COURSE OF MY LIFE. I now sometimes drive to the inner city and glide real slow down dark streets and night, watching crooks catch a glimpse of my GORILLAs and scream and run away in sheer terror, knowing that they'll NEVER have MY rims. Not a chance. Once in a while I'll get a really confident crook tapping on my window with a tire-iron all "hey man, can I borrow your GORILLA key sos I can steel your sweet rimz?" My response? I chuck it straight at their face and the hardened steel alloy key knocks them unconscious. Then I take it back along with their sweet tire-iron and drive away laughing. I can't imagine not owning these wheel locks.

Heavy-duty lug nut locks that get the job done
As a car owner who is serious about protection, I installed the Gorilla Automotive Acorn Gorilla Guard Locks on my vehicle's wheels. After using them for several months, I'm impressed with the durability and security these lug nut locks provide. The thick steel construction shows no signs of wear, cracks, or damage even when scraping on curbs. The protective coating resists scratches extremely well. These locks are clearly built to withstand road abuse.Installing them is straightforward with the socket tool provided. Their shape allows them to thread smoothly onto the lug nuts without issue. Removing them with the key to change a tire takes just a few minutes. The full nut cover design is robust. There are no gaps allowing access to the actual lug nut, only the key can remove them. This gives me peace of mind that my wheels are properly secured. While bulky looking, that is a small trade-off. These Gorilla Guard locks deliver on heavy-duty construction and provide unrelenting protection for your lug nuts. For any auto owner seeking an extra layer of security for their wheels, I'm impressed with the durability and strength these Gorilla lug nut locks provide. They get the job done when you want peace of mind that your lug nuts won't budge.

Great piece of mind !
2nd time purchasing this product for my 2nd vehicle . Great sense of security , with all the rise of factory rim’s thefts in my area (HTX) . Easy to install , fits 2014 Cadillac XTS . Understanding nothing is foolproof , just hopefully it’ll slow the crooks down . Because protecting your assets takes no days off !

Secure, with a brilliant design.
These were fast and easy to install. Did not feel like the key was loose by any means which is good because I was worried about stripping them. They look good, and hopefully they do a good job of keeping thieves away. I would imagine the only way they’ll get these off is by grinding the lock but by that point the rim would be ruined. Would buy again.

Decent anti-theft design...
Gorilla Automotive 61641 Acorn Guard Locks (14mm x 1.50 Thread Size)Most wheel locks (lug nuts needing socket keys) can be removed by anyone without the key. For example, a friend with McGard brand wheel locks lost his "key" and was really worried about how he'd get the locks off. I jammed a standard socket over a McGard lock by lightly tapping it onto the lock with a hammer - and unscrewed the lock using a socket wrench. Took about 2 minutes per wheel lock. After that experience, I threw out my own (NAPA brand) wheel locks, since they were similar to the McGards, and bought this Gorilla Guard Lock set. After all, why have wheel locks at all if they are easily removed without the key.Besides jamming a socket over the lock and unscrewing it, here are two tools designed specifically to remove that type of lock:- Irwin Industrial Tools 54125 Lugnut Specialty Extractor Set, 5-Piece- Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-3060 11 Piece Locking Wheel Nut RemoverThe Gorilla 61641 locks are much more difficult to remove without the key. That's because they have an outer sleeve that rotates if a socket is jammed over the lock. I suppose a thief could eventually remove the sleeve with a hammer and chisel, but that would take a lot of time and make a lot of noise.Gorilla will sell a spare key lock. Just send them your key-code, which comes with the locks, and ten bucks. When it's time to get new tires, consider replacing your wheel locks with the original lug nuts before going to the shop. That eliminates the possibility that a tire shop will lose or break your key lock, or forget to put it back in your car. Gorilla's instructions say to NOT use an impact wrench on their locks, since that extreme force could crack the hardened key lock. The angled bottom (part that tightens against the wheel) of 61641's are a slightly larger diameter than the McGard type design, spreading the torque over a larger area - which is important if you have aluminum wheels. The socketed end is also larger and better looking. I mounted them on a 2012 Cadillac SRX.
