So far, so good, but not particularly refined
First of all, I bought this from Amazon Warehouse which to me, means it has been either previously bought, tried & returned for some reason, or the packaging had been damaged but either way, at just $144, I had to try the unit.My 'standard' for comparison, is the excellent 360smartai S6 which is simply brilliant except for the App, which I declined to use as there are so many permissions required to be used from my phone. I simply stoop and press one button atop the machine and the vacuuming gets done properly. So the Lambot A1 comes with a similar App which again, I choose not to use but simply press the button to begin the unit and away it scurries doing the job. It's fast! Compared to the S6 Tortoise, it's a Hare! It has only one drive-wheel, curiously, which means that when it changes direction, it does a strange 'mini-hop', rather than a smooth transition of the S6. Nevertheless, the Lambot gets the job done and I notice it tracks the wall perimeter very closely before continuing into its routine pattern. The Lambot should be able to climb transitions and modest carpet edges from a hard floor according to the description literature (a professional booklet, unlike the flimsy pamphlet of some other units) but this unit struggles for some reason. Help it up into the carpet and the job gets done but really, it should perform the task itself. The other slight negative appears to be battery-life, which is supposed to be 180mins. On a hard floor with very few transitions or obstacles, it returned to base for charging after just 30mins and this after an overnight charge. This may be the reason for a return, or perhaps the point about the turning-hops but in all other respects, it gets the job done. The dustbin is a bit fiddly and, I think, unnecessarily complicated (lift a flap which doesn't stand up 90deg to extract the handled dustbin, then release a tag on the bin to raise its lid hinged one side and tip the contents into trash) but the suction does pull a lot of cat-litter into the receptacle, with fine cat-hair, invisible to the eye on the floor.Even with these slight 'quirks', I think it a reasonable unit but compared to the 360, S6, it is unrefined. However, considering the $144 price-tag, I consider that good value for money. If it fails at some point in the future, I'll report further but so far, so good for the Lambot A1.**UPDATE, August 2020: sadly the unit lost the power to spin the collector/side-brushes, so I simply pulled them off and the A1 continued to just vacuum the floors rather well but after a week, the unit completely stopped. It sat on the charger with the start button glowing red and would just not start on or off the charger.Tried reaching Lambot directly & via Amazon but without success. Amazon came through like a star though and refunded the purchase. When the A1 worked, it did a great job though.

Almost perfect...LIDAR makes all the difference.
If you have used a robo vacuum with out any mapping intelligence, you know how frustrating it is watching the robot trying to do the job. I had one and I cringed every time I started the thing. I knew I needed a vacuum with some sort of mapping capabilities and everything I looked at was in the range of 400 to 500 bucks. I also researched a bit on type of mapping and LIDAR made sense..then I stumbled on this LAMBOT ...bought it from a warehouse deal thinking I will try and see if it is worth. Using it for few weeks now and It almost works...except going in a loop once in a while...this seem to happen randomly and around some obstructions. It also does not correctly locate itself on the map once you pause and take it some place else in the house. Few quirks but for the money I spent, it is worth keeping it.

Really wanted it to work! Update
UPDATE!I had originally given the robot vacuum 2 stars because it did have a lot of issues navigating at first . As far as cleaning ability , it does very well and honestly if you look into robot vacuums in general you will not find one at this price point with the features this one offers .Now for the update.I can't say enough about Lambot support , yes they are in China I believe and we are alsleep when they are working so there is a communication lag , but Justin was veery responsive and proactive at trying to remedy the issues I was having .The robot has vastly improved , although it still messes up now and then , but it's worth the asking price I think .I would have given this a 1 star, but Lambot was fairly responsive although between the language barrier and the fact that nothing they suggested worked my "smart" robot is pretty stupid. The vacuum gets lost A LOT ! It ignores virtual walls and no go zones, doubles pre-loaded maps so then it will think its charging station is somewhere else its not. Last time, that was my treadmill.I was in constant contact with Justin, their support person and he was very nice and apologetic, but I think its a software issue and they seem to make excuses and suggest the same remedies that didnt work the first, second, third or fourth times. As tempting as it is to buy this with all the impressive specs, I would advise you to keep looking at this point.I have to constantly babysit the robot, rescue it from getting stuck on the same obstacles over and over and now it just locks up and I have to reboot it pretty much every cleaning cycle.Purchased from another site or I would be returning it to Amazon without a doubt, but Im stuck with it.

Very good for the price
I didnt purchase mine from Amazon, but for the price it's really not bad. The dustbin is on the smaller side and the app does have some slight issues with connectivity though not terrible. But for a lidar navigating robot vacuum under $150 its definitely worth it. It navigates very well. The mapping could be a bit better but is still pretty accurate. It has many options such as area cleaning, spot clean , and even one labeled draw, where toy draw a line on the map and the robot follow and clean along that path and when its done it will return to the dock. One issue though that I find to be troubling is when the robot docks and the metal contacts from the charger meet the robot, there is a visible spark. I currently own and in the past have owned robot vacuums that have the same rear mounted charging contacts ( my neato ) and it hasn't ever had a visible spark during the few times I've tested it. It may be harmless or could be an issue idk. The unit nor the the charger overheat so I don't feel there is any sort of electrical overload but im also not an expert. Besides the spark id say its definitely worth it.
