This shampoo works very well at cleaning and conditioning the hair. It cleared up my occasional problem of dry scalp patches and it leaves the pleasant fragrance of real sandalwood (fades naturally, unlike faux fragrances). I gave it a high value rating based on the fact that a little is all you need for a thorough cleaning and conditioning. TIP: unlike detergent-based shampoos, this one requires more massaging into the scalp - it continues to get "sudsier" and cleans more deeply the longer you work it in.

I agree this is a bit pricey, but is really really nice. If you like sandalwood, you will love the scent of this shampoo. And my hair is nice and soft, after using it.

I love this product chemical free and all that but not moisturizing at all it has soap no powder in it I think or something called reshi it's something like something powder but not anyway I have really really thick hair and long so in order to use this I must precondition with a totally different conditioning product also ayurvedic once I do that I don't rinse it out as it says to do and I just put this in and wash my hair I don't believe this suds most ayurvedic do not have suds,. It has a lovely sandalwood scent not very strong at all I actually hope to something stronger but it's really beautiful and I do highly recommend it as it is chemical free and really good but if you have dry hair be sure to use the ayurvedic conditioner beforehand and after

I had bought this product previously and really loved it. Then I ordered again and the scent was completely different. I started using it. After a while I noticed that the date was 2009. So since it is supposed to be a natural product it has a short life-time. Ask about the expiry date....which I didn't

They have two products: a hamper and cleanser. Shampoo is amazing but conditioner is dismal. Shampoo is darker, smells different. Cleanser is greenish and lighter, it doesn’t lather well nor smells good not softens the hair like the shampoo did. I reordered the same shampoo but they sent me the cleanser. They are counting on the / in the online name for it.

Good quality but the smell is kinda of off-putting. I went to an old people home once more than a decade ago and this smell brought me right back to it. Definitely nothing to do with sandalwood like some other reviews said. If like me you're eagerly rumming through everything sandalwood after you tried Le labo Santal 33 or Fiel Santalum, then this is NOT it.I'll finish the bottle because it's good quality shampoo no doubt about that and the smell goes away almost instantly after you get out of the shower but, personally, I will have a little less of a nice time in the shower until I finish this bottle and move on.
