The Point6 fit is quickly becoming legendary. We have perfected an anatomical fit that will knock your socks off. The deep heel pocket hugs your heel and prevents tightness across the instep. Our toe closure is the ultimate in smooth. Your toes won't feel any lump or irritation. Cross stretch is one of our secret weapons in creating a sock that is tight enough to stay up, but not too tight to impair circulation. Add just the right amount of terry loop cushioning where needed, ventilation zones where desired and the result is a kick-ass, bad-ass sock. A Point6 sock. About point6 Headquartered in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, point6 designs and manufactures the highest quality in performance Merino wool socks. The point6 name is derived from the body’s optimal temperature (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) to demonstrate the temperature regulating properties of Merino. Unlike cotton or synthetics, Merino wool fibers also offer a complex moisture-management system that both repels and absorbs moisture to keep feet dry, comfortable, and blister free. Company founders Peter and Patty Duke have an extensive history within the Merino wool business and helped establish the Merino category within the outdoor market more than 20 years ago. Built for comfort and performance, the company’s signature line incorporates the latest knitting and spinning techniques to create a softer and more durable wool sock. point6 exclusively uses 100 percent compact spun Merino wool yarns in its line of active, hiking, lifestyle, cycling, running, and snow sports socks. point6 strives to bring the best in quality while maintaining competitive pricing without compromising quality or performance. point6 is committed to protecting the environment and ensures all products, packaging and manufacturing processes adhere to strict environmental guidelines. point6 is also actively involved in its local communities through various field marketing programs.

Well made
These socks seem well made, I have washed them a couple of times, no balling or large amounts of fuzz coming off.

Perfect for my needs
I was looking for relatively thin hiking socks to wear with my snug, light-to-medium weight, hiking boots on day hikes. I needed socks that were thin but had a cushioned sole. These are perfect. The seams are well placed so that they do not rub.I find that these socks are very warm for the Fall and Winter, warmer than old, heavy, all wool, socks that I have, yet were not hot when used for hiking in the Summer.I'm ordering more to have enough to wear as daily socks for this Winter.Update: 11/12: They finally wore holes in the heels so I am buying more. They have been very comfortable all year round, except for very cold weather. I have used them as my daily socks all year round so I feel that they have held up well.
