An improvement on drip coffee into a cup
This product met with spousal approval! It makes the process of drip coffee easier and less messy. For me I’ll stop overflowing coffee from my cup, for him he no longer has to carefully calculate and measure the amount of water to put into the kettle. It’s adorable too. Photos show the companion Kalita Wave Dripper and filters, size 185 which fit perfectly. And an eleven ounce mug — this set up is best for about that much output.

Love this little coffee pot
I don't drink much coffee, but when I do, I do a pour-over coffee in this pot for a few cups. I've bought thicker glass pitchers that the pour-over coffee drains into and they have cracked. This glass pot has thinner glass, but it stands up well to the hot pour-over coffee with out breaking. I store the coffee in this pot also and just put it in the microwave to warm it up. It is perfect for me and the few cups of coffee I drink. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who only wants a few cups of coffee from time to time and definitely wants to buy a glass coffee pot that will not crack with the hot coffee the pour-over is draining

Beautiful and functional pour over coffee server
I love this coffee server! Not only is it a beautiful design (which is what originally caught my eye) but it's very functional as well. My Kalita Wave dripper fits perfectly in top and the coffee stays hot for a long time after brewing. And if it does gown to cool down, I just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds.I usually just rinse it with water after each use but after a couple weeks of that I scrub it clean with soap, water and my Bon Ami cleaner and any coffee stains come right off.

Perfect match for the Kalita Wave 155
This isn't for those looking to brew a couple huge american sized cups of coffee. It holds 300ml or so comfortably and a bit more at a stretch. It's more intended to hold two six ounce cups of coffee and it works perfectly for that. I use this with the Kalita Wave 155. I typically use about 14g of coffee and 224g of water and get two 6 oz mugs of great coffee in a fun little carafe that I take with me to my desk. It just looks and feels right, and it makes the experience of brewing my coffee and drinking my coffee more fun, and that's worth it to me. Plus, it looks good on the shelf.

Catches Coffee, Pours Coffee, hashtag winning
I needed a carafe to go with the Kalita Wave Dripper 185 series glass [2-4] people for Black # 05039 (japan import) by Kalita (Carita) so I got the Kalita carafe because I like things that match. This carafe catches coffee and pours it back out, so functionally perfect. I like the design aesthetic, it's simple and useable. There are many carafes, this one is great, I'm sure there are other great ones. If you already have a carafe like this one from another brand, it's unlikely this is an upgrade in any practical sense, but hey, carafes for the carafe throne, right? Buy them all, start a collection, live your best life.

Not Gorgeous, But (Mostly) Functional
What I liked about this right off was the thickness of the glass (sturdy and not too fragile), and the very easy cleaning (I use soapy water and an OXO bottle brush).Kalita needs to go back to the drawing board on the lid. Not only is it too tight because of a too rigid plastic used that doesn't give enough for easy pulling out and pushing in, but they made the situation worse by putting a totally strait up and down pull knob on the lid that simply doesn't function. It doesn't flare out at all and there are no ridges or grooves to give your fingers more pulling power.Other than that, very useful, and again, not too fragile.I'd buy it again, but if it were my company I'd be ordering a bit of a redesign.UPDATE:After deciding this didn't keep pour over coffee hot long enough to drink it, I started using the .6 liter size of the Alfi Hotello carafe for making pour over instead. You can't visually make pour over, but you can using a scale, and it keeps the coffee hot for over an hour with its ingenious 1" thick hollow lid that has no rubber seal/gasket at all and no internal glass vacuum to break. It was designed for waiters in hotels and works perfectly. I bought the 1 liter size for use with my Moccamaster and the .6 liter size for making pour over and keeping it hot.

Not Made in Japan
I bought this because I needed a carafe for brewing coffee. The product description and sticker on the box indicate that this is made in Japan, but this is made in Thailand. The glass has "Made in Thailand" written on it. The carafe is great though. Seems pretty sturdy and I like the shape. Please remove all the references to made in Japan from this product listing.

Love that it's so tiny
I bought the Kalita 185 but it was too small for my cup. I returned the 185 due to a defect and bought the 155 and after watching a YouTube video, saw someone using a very small carafe and thought it would be ideal. According to what I read, the 155 makes 12 to 16 ounces of coffee so this little carafe is the perfect size. Love it!
