Genuine Honda 77540-SHJ-A01ZE Glove Box Lock Assembly

Perfect fit, function, and color. Old screws create their own threads during install. Rather easy with a screwdriver. Not sure what the problem was with another reviewer.Poor design by Honda with small bit of plastic breaking. Had to break the handle on the old one to get the metal lever over to the left, then on top of the latch, then operated it with a screwdriver. I believe the screws were slightly loose. Anyway, the old van has access to the glove box and cabin air filter again.

Easy to install once we got the glove box open. Check youtube for a video on how to open your glove box if the latch breaks with the box closed. Super easy if you get the screwdriver in the right place.The locking mechanism from your old latch is easily transferred to this new latch. Just take off the plastic cover, remove the retaining ring, then the lock can be removed from the old latch. There are also videos on youtube for this if you need.Replacement took probably 15 minutes, including transfer of the lock mechanism. That's the benefit of using an OEM part. The bad is the price, but at least you know it will work.

Happy that I got the right part the first time and it was easy to swap with my broken one.

The plastic cover that goes around the key cylinder was broken when I received it. Had to use the cover off of the old unit. I didn't have time to send it back and get a replacement.

I have a 2009 Honda Odyssey and it fits just right.

Be sure to keep old parts , screws and especially the center lock from old latch. Worked great just as pictured!

The latch broke in my 13 year old Honda van. This is very easy to replace - just 2 screws. The color was a perfect match. Note: You have to transfer your old lock to the new assembly. There is a small "E" clip on the back that you push off with a small screwdrive to get the old lock out.

Every since my Odyssey 2008 ex glove box lock broke, have been looking for replacement lock and this lock fits perfectly and works well so far

This was a perfect match for our 2010 Honda Odyssey, who's glove box lock failed and locked on us with my daughter's cell phone inside. A handy Youtube video helped us unlock the box but in so doing, made the factory latch inoperable. This item was perfect and installed in 30 seconds. Just one thing to know in advance is you know longer have a lock in the assembly. But who locks their glove box anyways?

La pieza en si, es de buena calidad idéntica a la original, pero le pongo 4 estrellas por qué al menos en la pieza que a mí me llegó, venían sin rosca los orificios donde van los tornillos que sujetan la pieza a la guantera, aún así pude adaptar la de mi pieza original y funciona, gracias al vendedor de igual manera, pero estaría bien que verifique ese pequeño detalle ...
