Geo F. Trumper GFT Shaving Cream Tube, 75 g (2.5 oz)

This is a high quality shaving cream well worth using. I did not give it a 5 star rating because there is one even better, albeit at a much higher price. The lather is good but it could be thicker; the scent is also good, but I prefer the coconut version in this category.One note about all shaving creams. The difference using one with soft water versus hard water is astounding. They lather much better if the water is soft.

I have used this GFT shaving cream for many years and it will always be in my rotation of shaving products. I especially enjoy using it in the warmer months because of its wonderful citris scent. I pair it with the GFT cologne for a delightful shaving experience. I have never been disappointed in any of the George F Trumper products and find them to be excellent values in providing comfortable shaving experiences. The coconut, rose and sandalwood are excellent as well. I highly recommend them all.

For me, I love the smell and the way it feels. I give it five stars. But keep in mind, this isn't something where there are inherent quality differences. It's my personal preference. To me the smell is fresh, refined, light, and masculine. But you might not like it if it's not your personal taste. I've also used  Proraso Menthol Eucalyptus Shaving Cream , which is much cheaper and has a totally different smell (more menthol, some tingle even) and somewhat different feel and I also loved the Proraso. Really, it's personal preference and taste, and getting a great shave is about the skill, not the equipment. They will all work. In fact I enjoy having some variety.

Trumpers GFT is a fine product. That said, I was suspicious that the cap was white instead of black and the color of the tube was a bit off-color. I contacted Trumpers and they said that the item was produced a very long time ago. and they don't seem to have any more a record of that item number. This can just be a fluke on a shelf by the seller Galactic Shops, but buyer beware.

Fast and exactly what I ordered. Good price too.

my only regret is they do not offer an aftershave to pair with it. The scent is amazing, and as always the GFT cremes work wonders while shaving.
