Q: What if you don’t have a handle in the drivers seat? Didn’t know cars did... is there a work around?

Depending on your vehicle you might be able to add an extra handle. My 4runner only has 3 handles also so I use the two in the back seat and in the trunk there are two coats hooks. I removed the hooks and put the bolt through the webbing when I put the hooks back on. Its not the ideal solution but it works.

Q: I noticed in the video that the rods were 2 pieces. Can this rack hold one-piece rods between 6'-6'' and 7'-6" in a Minivan?

Yes I carried both in my Honda CRV ,with no problems.

For these to work, you need either door handles or coat hooks on both sides in two seating positions. It didn't work for my Explorer (don't have a Jeep) because I have only one handle in the front row, two coat hooks in the second row, and nothing in the third row. I tried using large hooks with 3M Command strips on the windows in the third row, but the product slides off when tightened up. (They do need to be cinched up tight to prevent drooping/movement when you place your rods on them).
