Missing parts but instructions weren't too bad
My neighbor let me borrow his sweeper one day so I decided I needed one as well. With the amount of rain we have been getting in VA for the past several months, by the time you get a couple of nice days and the ground has dried enough to cut it is very long. Using his made it a whole lot easier to manage the leaves and clippings in the yard.I was soo looking forward to being able to use this. As far as the instructions, if you look at what you have and the pictures in the manual and actually read the captions and instructions it has been a breeze to assemble by myself. But... while I was putting it together, I got to one of the last steps and found that it did not come with the short bars to attach the bag to the sweeper nor the rope. Reckon I will be returning it since that is the only option when you click "Return or Replace Items". If something changes I will update my review. Was looking forward to using it today as the ground was dry enough and rain is coming again. Very disappointed.** Update ** I used the contact seller seller option on my order and they responded very quickly to my issue. They said they will be sending the parts out on Monday to help make this right. Once I receive those and get to use this I will update my review and score accordingly.Update - seller got the parts I was missing quickly. I have used this a few times since assembled. It works great. I have a decent sized yard and use it primarily for grass clippings if we have he'd lots of rain and the grass is tall. I have to set it on the lowest setting and make several trips to dump but it works just fine for it. Picks up leaves better than grass, but gets the grass up pretty well once the grass has dried. The rope can be tough to pull from the seat abs I think a handle would have been easier, but I was expecting this from the rope. You just need to make sure you don't let the rope drag and get tangled!

Great leaf sweeper
This is a great leaf sweeper, difficult to assemble. Directions are not always clear

Directions for assembly very vague.
Poor value. Took 30 mins to assemble and had to drill new holes. First use resulted in a missing support rid an a hole in the side mesh. Would not recommend.

Poor assembly instructions
I like the lawn sweeper after finally getting it assembled. Part of instructions are easy to follow, and part of assembly instructions are non existent. Very frustrating putting together. Not sure about tubes for drawbar hitch. Bagger sits too high when hitched to lawnmower, allowing bag to only fill quarter full before having to dump. Picked up leaves and sticks nicely, and really liked how easy to dump. If could get the drawbar correctly, I would have rated a five on performance, even with assembly issues. Also, no assembly instructions on you tube to assist.

Not recommended.
As per other reviews, the assembly instructions are horrible, The pictures are drawings and are too small to be useful, the language and steps are confusing, and the nomenclature is inconsistent. This is coming from someone who considers himself to be mechanically inclined. It took me an entire afternoon to assemble it only to get to the very end and find that there was a key part missing. It probably fell out through the tear in across the entire bottom of the shipping box (no tape reinforcement despite it being an very heavy item. I should never have accepted it, but I gambled because I had jobs that needed to be done and I lost big time. I contacted Amazon who contacted the supplier who then contacted me only to tell me that they were out of the part and I would have to wait a couple of days for more to come in. I will believe that when I see it. In the meantime, I am stuck with an item that doesn't work and on which I don't want to waste another afternoon disassembling in order to return it, and I still have jobs for which I am getting further and further behind. Don't buy items like this from Amazon or anyone else on line. Go down to you local Tractor Supply an buy one where you can easily return it if it doesn't work or fails. This sucks big time.

Time and back saver!
This leaf sweeper does a great job cleaning up the lawn. It probably picks up 90% of the leaves with ease. The bottom of the bagger is quite thick and feels like it will last. All of the holes lined up pretty much as expected for assembly. It was not the easiest thing to put together though. I did it alone in a little over 2 hours. With help, I probably could have done it in 90 minutes. There were a couple of steps that seemed out of order and once I figured it out the process went smoothly. Once it’s full, and it holds a lot of leaves, dumping would be very easy if that were an option for me. Simply pull the rope to angle the hopper forward, dump and drive away. That’s not really an option for me as I live in a subdivision and I’m forced to bag my leaves. Scooping them out of the hopper and into bags isn’t the easiest, but it’s better than raking and then bagging. I filled 10 large leaf bags in under an hour. No complaints about this at all. I’ll be storing it inside as I feel leaving it in the elements probably will degrade the hopper. This was well worth the money.

Works Well…..But…..
My husband and I reside in a rural area with lots of trees. This sweeper works really well once you replace the flimsy metal rods. The rods that come with the sweeper are thin and flimsy and won’t hold the weight of leaves. Also, if you hit a bump the bars bounce and the bag will collapse. My hubby replaced these parts at Lowe's and rigged them in a manner where they no longer collapse when he hits a bump. It’s still definitely worth the money. It’s a time saver and time is money. I just wish they would address the two problems I listed.

Works very well
This product works, but I have had to replace some of the bolts because they have snapped. Other than that the product works very well. I would highly recommend purchasing butter bolts. I use it mainly to scoop poop for my three dogs. It works very well for that.
