A must have for ccl injury
I ordered 2 sizes and keeping the medium...the m/lrg was too loose. My dog is 14 and has a torn cll. Acl in human terms. This brace allows him to have support, thus less pain. He is not a candidate for surgery as he cannot tolerate anesthesia. So I am very pleased I could order 2, try them on for a perfect fit. I am hoping to further rehab using the brace, acupuncture, wheelchair ect. Hydro therapy in the next couple months.

My dog wouldn't wear it
my dog acted like he was being punished.I've used a similar brace on my other dog and he wore it easily.we started by only putting it on him when we'd take him on car rides etc.that made it seem like a part of going bye bye.my other dog.. he's a bit touched .however, that might work to keep him still and let the leg heal. he's a high energy dog, when his ACL gets a tad better , he runs and we start all over. I've tried to keep him restrained. it's difficult. I'd use the brace to keep him still, but he looks like he's being punished.so? it's a catch 22.I can't blame the brace, and it's prudent as with all braces, even on people that you check for proper fitand that it does not rub or cause more injury. I've not had this problem.we have to be our animals medical advocates as they can't tell us exactly what's happening.hope all your dogs heal up quickly.

Best brace my vet has ever seen
My vet was so excited to see that this super reasonable brace was working- yes it def could be tweaked to be better- i will probably hire seamstress to shorten and secure the strap to the harness but this product is great- our 14yo medium sized lab snapped ccl- he had baaad reaction last time he had anesthesia so surgery is definitely not an option- we are going on 2.5 months and he is getting along beautifully with no added meds( he was already on rimadyl and the glucosamine chondroiton stuff)- wants to play ball , continues to counter surf like a champion... I dont think im exaggerating when I say this brace matched with laser and accupuncture has saved his life- I know he wont live forever but his quality of life is great because if the help of this brace and harness— for reference we got the m/l - im going to order a 2nd so i can wash it and i think im going to try the medium. Snug is what you want and tighter than you would think, they get used to it very quickly.

Great for covering wounds
So I did not get for support of the leg and I do not feel that it would really provide any real support. But I got it to stop from licking a wound and it was great for that. No licking ,easy to clean, he can wear it while going outside for bathroom. Now it does pickup a lot of hair on the velcro but that is to be expected

Very Helpful
This product took a little time to properly adjust it to fit her leg. I widened the top two inches a bit. Now it fits well and helps her immensely. After minimal ambulation for 2 months following an ACL injury my 16 yo German Shepard mix is now walking around the yard and climbing stairs with little assistance. Amazing improvement.

She also hated it. She wouldn't move when it was on
It was purchased to help my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog with what we thought was a partial ACL tear. It really didn't support the parts that needed. It was a very loose fit and yet I measured as instructed. She also hated it. She wouldn't move when it was on. It was all in all a waste of money for us. What was suppose to help her to move around more, made her not move at all. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) shortly after and passed two months later. I guess we can say we tried and did everything possible to give her help in the final months.

Order with caution.
This was recommended by my vet, but i am really disappointed. My dog is large 70 pounds and it doesnt help at all. I paid for expedited shipping and they only sent one piece of it and by the time i received both i wastwd my money on the expedited shipping. Honestly using a towel under her belly is so much more supportive and costs nothing. The towel takes the weight off the rear leg and helps so much morethan this brace. Maybe it is successful for a much smaller dog.

Too large not supportive
I experienced the “too large to provide compression or support “ issues other reviewers posted about. I too measured accurately. I expected A much better fit after taking the time to measure.
