AKONA Scuba/Snorkel Mask Bag

-The Akona mask bag AKB804 is the best of the 6 mask bags that I've tried.AKONAThe mask compartment is big enough for the big 6 windowed masks like the Mares ESA Full View and the Sherwood Magnum 6 that I like to use for surface snorkeling.Even with an Akona Mask Strap Cover (another one of my favorites) on the mask strap, and leaving the snorkel attached and laying under the closure flap of the mask bag, it all fits and the closure flap can securely catch the velcro landing and keep it all snugged down and in place.The anti-fog bottle compartment is very generous in size and easily holds any of the usual bottles with room to spare (Akona, McNetts, 500 PSI, etc.).The clip is very handy for attaching the mask bag to the D-Rings on my favorite fin bag (Scuba Max GatorPac BG-332).-THE OTHERSMares Cruise Pearl: No clips for attaching to fin bag;ProMate: Anti-Fog bottle pouch is too small;Scuba.com SM-005: No clips for attaching to fin bag;Scuba Max Gator Pac: No clips for attaching to fin bag; andXS Scuba BG540: The tech clip for attaching to other gear may suit some tech divers or certain specialized gear, but it isn't appropriate for folks who just want a standard clip to hang it on a D-Ring.-

When I viewed this mask pouch online I was concerned about its actual size and its ability to hold my mask and snorkel but I was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. It seems to made of good quality material and my mask and snorkel fit nicely inside. It also came with a bottle of anti-fog which I was unaware of when I ordered it. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and its ability to protect my mask lenses.

I recently purchased prescription googles for my son, so I wanted a way to store them to prevent scratches. This case works great, and the snorkel fits at the top, hanging out the sides. Great purchase with a great price!

Akona products are all well manufactured. I have used their Fin bag for years and just ordered another for my dive buddy. The Akona Mask Bag is just as great. A mask bag has the advantage over a plastic mask box in that it's breathable, allowing the mask to dry. A dry mask and lens appears to be less inclined to fog after application of a defogger. It also packs into a duffle with your wet suit and other equipment easily while protecting the lens. It is amply padded and has a nifty snap hook to attach to a belt loop or the outside of your equipment bag.

Mask fits snugly and is well protected. The mask defog pocket is exactly the right size. What I really like about this bag is that I don't have to detach my snorkel - just center the snorkel keeper on the rear of my slap strap and lay it down on top. The closure flap on the top just folds over and velcros into place. The mask is in the bag and the snorkel sticks out either end.Mine was lacking the '1oz AKONA mask Defog' it was supposed to ship with. Not a big deal.

Goes great with my Alina dive bag. Handy clip allows you To hang from side of bag. EasilyFord standard mask and even has a small pouch for antidote spray or whatever you want carry in it.

Just like the one i bought at the dive shop 16 years ago. But at a better price. Great.

Not sure if it would fit a bigger mask but my tusa m 211 fits ok and snorkel on top of it ... not bad quality and fit a small bottle of sea drop at the end of it in a pocket
