Beautiful and Accessible Science Book
Beautiful nature photography, along with a vivid poem, draw you through the water cycle as we see it on the ground. Then, at the end, two final pages offer “A Splash of Science” describing the never-ending water cycle. A beautiful and accessible non-fiction book with lots to explore.

Amazing!
I hope you'll forgive me if I gush here a little bit. The photographs in this book are absolutely stunning. The incredible detail in the photos just blows my mind. I felt like I could reach out and touch the rain drops. You can actually see the fibers on the leaves. I could almost smell the fresh air that always comes with rain. The poetry is just as wonderful as the photographs, describing in just a handful of words what is happening in each photograph. Many different plants and animals and displayed here in all their glory. I think my favorite photograph was the one that shows a reflection of a branch in a rain drop. The author also does the reader a favor by describing at the end the science behind rain and the water cycle. There are also some great references to other books and websites that have additional information. An incredible book that is perfect for sharing or just for enjoying.

Eh - is okay. Cool pictures.
I loved the pictures and perspectives in this book for my 4 and 5 year olds, but honestly there is hardly any writing. I was a little underwhelmed with it. They got bored fast.

Beautiful pictures but no story
After reading some reviews I was more curious to see what they were referring too as there wasn’t any pictures to actually see..I was after a story about rain to teach my 4 year old child what it is, where it comes from etc.. I defiantly did not get that from this book. However I got some beautiful pictures I would happily hang on the wall, but it would have a few words on each picture.I have attached few examples..Overall if I wanted beautiful photographs I would of purchased just that. I did want a story to fill my child with some nature wisdom, but didn’t receive. He did like the pictures too but not enough to carry it to bed with him..
