Kaplan NCLEX-RN Premier 2015-2016: With 2 Practice Tests

Don't get me wrong, this is a great book! However, it's the same exact book as the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2015-2015 Strategies, Practice and Review book that I got from my local library for free...right down to the questions at the end of each chapter and the included practice test. I was hoping that I'd be able to access the so-called "included" online content that made this the "Premier" version which included another practice test and a 20 question sample of Kaplan's Qbank but even though it says on page XV of this book under How To Use This Book to go to http://www.kaptest.com/booksonline.jhtml, find the correct title/ISBN# and enter a given word, this book is not yet included as an option in that menu. Phone calls to Kaplan do not connect you to a human, instead you are told to send an email and then the line disconnects. I've tried both emailing and leaving a message on their Facebook wall but have not received a response. This book also comes with a DVD with a "Test Taking Workshop" and "Rules of the NCLEX-Living In NCLEX Land" which I have not watched so I can not offer a comment on it's quality or value. As I already have the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2015-2015 Strategies, Practice and Review and can not access the online content, this book is pretty much useless to me and I will be returning it.ETA: Kaplan appears to have added the option for this book, however when I try to access the online practice test I receive a 500 - Internal server error. The QBank appears to work though.

I passed NCLEX first try and I thank Kaplan! NCLEX is MORE than what you know. It's about how to answer correctly. Kaplan has created a blue print for even the worst test taker to be successful. It teaches not only what to study and how to study but how to break questions down. These strategies work even if you don't know anything about the content of the question. NO u can't not study but this book will teach u how to pull out the correct information from your memory bank. It will point out what u should know so you can go back and study your weaknesses. This book was more of a help than the book I paid $300 for. Get it!! Worth every penny!!

Passed my NCLEX RN in August 2016Read this book but didnt really do much with it. Its a book to help you test. No knoledge based information in here. Used Saunders Comprehensive Review, read it from front to back, used Kaplan and UWorld, ALL questions answered and review AFTER reading Saunders. Just like i did it for when i took my LVN in 2011. Id recommend Saunders Comprehenisve Review to study content and recommend reading everything from there, even the tid bit information that you wont use when youre working but will use on the NCLEX. Then follow up with critical thinking practice test questions using UWorld and Kaplan QBank. Good luck to all future Registered Nurses!

Great way to get the Kaplan strategies if you don't take the course...the first part is very helpful for that. It also has lots of test bank questions. For me it's what I needed so I was very happy with this book and feel it was week worth the money I paid for it. Iam prepping for the NCLEX and did another company's review which focuses more on content so I bought this book for the question bank primarily. The questions are okay , but the testing strategies help a lot. The content review is not great so I would go with another source for actual material review. I would also still do the board's review because their questions are better,

I passed the NCLEX on my first try with the help of this book. I did not want to spend the $400+ on the live review, so I paired this with ATI (my nursing students know what I am talking about) and felt as prepared as I could have. This helps you to understand what the NCLEX will be looking for, in terms of knowledge and how to properly analyze and answer the questions given on the test. There are also practice tests and plenty of practice questions to help sharpen your test taking skills.

Excellent strategies to get you thinking! Not for content review (I highly recommend Saunders for that). Read front to back completing all the practicw questiona and scored 70-75% on the practice exams and was feeling unsure, although the book says that's good. Passed the NCLEX in 75 questions. The DVD is the same as the online portion (minus the practice test) so I found that misleading. Did not try the mobile portion. Only used the text and online portion. Great book!

I'm glad I ordered this book to help me prepare for my upcoming NCLEX exam. It's helping me to study and know how to better answer test questions. It's easy to read, easy to understand and a good study guide. I plan to use this in combination with taking the actual Kaplan review course to fully prepare myself for the exam.

As a non-USA educated nurse, I bought this and the NCLEX-RN 2015-2016 Strategies, Practice, and Review with Practice Test (Kaplan Nclex-Rn Exam) Paperback – 3 Feb 2015. I had heard that the exam was changing and was expected to get more difficult than before. Kaplan has always been known to be a great study aid for covering the entire nursing content with excellent revision tips and question banks.However I was very disappointed that haven ordered the latest editions of both books, there is barely any difference from the older books and the only difference between both books is the DVD and online access! Quite misleding. Will be returning the other one and will be keeping this one with the online access and DVD. You definitely do not need both and if you have older Kaplan books the content is pretty much similar.

Gives helpful hints for passing the NCLEX exam. Price is quite reasonable as well, especially if it's coming from the US

A very helpful and informative introduction to the NCLEX exam, study study strategies and section explanations very helpful, only problem is i cannot get my cd to play but on the whole a very helpful book
