I ride a Yamaha FZ16, a motorcycle that is not sold in the United States. I was very surprised that I found this item on Amazon. I have not fitted it as yet, but it is the perfect match. I am looking forward to replacing the OEM filter with this one so that I can hopefully see some performance and economy gains.

A great reusable replacement for the too expensive stock paper element, especially if you live in dusty areas. Fit quality is excellent, the air filter element comes pre oiled ready to install, and the instructions were in English! K&N air filters are a great dependable product and often times an easy performance gain, and the reusable design really saves money over the life of a machine especially on high performance models with ram air induction as they soil up paper elements rather quickly. As a lifelong powersports tech and race engine builder, I have depended on them for hundreds of applications, and whenever there has been a problem (though rare)their customer service is second to no one. They really stand behind their products and take care of their customers. Just dont expect a power gain from this application over the stock Gixxer filter as it dosent have near the surface area of the stock paper pleated filter, unless yours is terribly restricted or has been wet. It does however let you hear the intake resonance through the velocity stacks so it sounds wicked fast!

Already comes oiled and ready to install! Also, when its time to do another filter change don't buy another one because this one can be cleaned with a K&N filter cleaning kit! It's pricey but atleast it can be reused multiple times! Clean the filter housing and place it in. I notice my bike has better air flow now when I crank the throttle!
