256GB SSD Not Being Detected
Nov 4, 2019 update: Mechrevo agreed to an 80% refund and Amazon posted the credit to my account.Mechrevo's 256GB SSD is not being detected by my son's Late-2013 or daughters's Mid-2015 MacBookPros. I contacted Amazon support (or whoever 3rd party it is) who provided good troubleshooting ideas. After I described all the recommended steps I went through, we agreed it had something to do with the SSD firmware or simply hardware failure. I went to the MECHREVO web site but the English page has been disabled (the EN link is still in the main page). --- Given my experience and monetary loss (so far), I recommend spending a few more USDs for a more reputable name.

Replacement Drive for a MBP 2015
This worked very well to replace the failed "drive" in my MBP 15" from 2015. It had both screw drivers in it needed and a quick vid search made it easy. Only issue (hence the star) was it showed up with a previous Mac install on it with a Chinese version of High Sierra and Baidu as the default search engine. I wiped it with disk utility and then did a network install of Mojave to be safe, otherwise a great product. Hardware seems great... have a can of compressed air when you open the case handy to blow out the dust and check your fans before you re-assemble.

MECHREVO 256GB SSD
This product brought my old 2013 MacBook Air back to life! Just pay attention to the the directions and you’ll be fine. I made a bootable usb with the latest Mac OS to use to image the new drive.

Saved money for new computer
Had drive on my Mac Book Air went out and Apple store wanted lots of money to do repair. I took a chance to buy this hard drive with double storage I had on my old one. It works just fine, easy to install.
