Evangelism Is . . .: How to Share Jesus with Passion and Confidence

Engaging and convicting. Wish it was more practical application.

This book is an easy and encouraging read. Every follower of Jesus is called to evangelize the lost, and this book gives practical ways to do that. It's not very deep theologically, but the many tools and examples make it worth the money and time spent reading it.

The authors cover numerous aspects of engaging others with the gospel. The chapters are not real long, and there are summarized points at the end of each one. However, I believe there was a focus simply upon getting people saved, but not the long-term discipleship that is needed. There were some good points, but I think there could be a more balanced discussion of the subject.

This is the first review I've ever posted on Amazon (the book was too good not to review). Ever been ticked off by someone who crammed Jesus down your throat? Read this book. Ever tried to cram Jesus down someone's throat? Buy this book. Think you are A+ at sharing who Jesus is and what He has done? Buy this book. Think all of life is predetermined so why bother sharing your faith? Buy this book. Never given your testimony? Buy this book. Give your testimony to everyone you meet? Buy this book. I really can't think of a single person on the planet who shouldn't read this book. If you are not a "Christ-follower" - you probably know someone who is. So read this book. And if you do consider yourself a Christ-follower or a disciple of Christ - then BUY the book. Trust me - you'll want to do more than check it out for a quick read at the library. I intend to re-read it every 40 days.

Liked plain and simple words. Book gave me more enthusiasm towards compelling others to Christ Jesus. We all as followers of Christ are in a Great commission with God as our leader , to share the good news gospel of Jesus Christ.

I need the book for a Seminary class, and arrived right on time.

The information in Evangelism is... is easily accessible to anyone who wants to know the who, what, why and when of Evangelism. I had to buy this for a course I was taking, but the wealth of information that is encompassed within is priceless for anyone who wants to learn what the best methods of evangelism are, how to approach the unchurched folks who do not know Jesus and even why Christians evangelize the way they do.

Some parts I really like, especially those written by Dr. Early. You know they are written by some one who live and do evangelism-they are practical, and very helpful. But some parts, especially on section 4, I was left disappointed. I was hoping for clear, practical, and workable steps to do hands on evangelism, so that I can also use to train my group, but it was lackluster. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Shipping took an awful long time and was a little more expensive than I intended. I am sure it is an amazing book but I no longer have use for it since my course was over by the time I received the book.
