Great product! Sprayed it on a couch with stubborn body odor & it not only neutralized the odor but gave it a nice soft, clean, subtle, fresh scent. FIVE STARS for effectiveness. ONE STAR for the spray bottle - it kept leaking & poping off the bottle.

When an accident happens, cleaning up with paper towels only goes so far. This spray kills the odor and prevents spots in the carpet.

I have an area of my house upstairs that isn't used. I didn't realize that our puppy had been urinating on the carpet upstairs until the smell was so bad, I could smell it downstairs. I have a Bissell carpet cleaner and tried to clean the urine out of the carpet with their pet cleaning solution. Getting the the carpet wet made the smell 10 times worse! The directions say that the product needs to saturate into the pet stains and sit for 10 minutes. I fully saturated every spot and let stand for 6 hours. I have thick shag carpet, so I thought the longer the better. Product also says to test an area before using. I didn't because this was either going to work, or I was ripping the carpet out. I got out my Bissell carpet cleaner, filled it with hot water and the suggested amount of Simple Solution and began going over and over the stinky spots. I could literally SEE the urine coming out of the carpet! When I dumped the water tank of my carpet cleaner, I could smell the urine. I had to go over these spots several times, and had to refill my carpet cleaner (it has a small tank) probably 10 times. But it WORKED!!!! All the odor is gone! My carpet looks and feels new again. Simple Solutions did not take out any color either. I'm very pleased and will be keeping this product in my house at all times. I had no problems using this product with my Bissell carpet cleaner, despite the manufacturer warnings. I also have the Simple Solutions Pet Spray that I use for smaller messes or immediately after a pet accident (vomit and urine). It works very well. I used the unscented Simple Solution and that's why I didn't give a smell rating. However, no dog pee smell is 5 stars to me!

The senile and unpleasant Miss Puddy had peed repeatedly on the nearly new mattress in the spare bedroom. The waterproof WalMart mattress pad deserves less than 1 star....but I digress. I tried a home remedy on the many spots. The mattress then smelled like cat pee and vinegar. So, I did some research and decided to give this product a try. I put it into a sprayer and soaked all of the spots really well. Its a pillow top mattress, so I pressed on the saturated spots hoping it would get down into the padding, but really thinking the situation was hopeless. I put a fan on it overnight, and this morning, the smell was gone from the majority of the areas. I re-treated the few spots that still had a slight odor, and this time, I also re-sprayed the spots and rubbed them with a terry cloth towel. It took the stains the rest of the way out, and this afternoon, the smell is gone entirely from the entire mattress. Mind you, the mattress has an off-white covering, and was dotted with ugly yellow stains. Now it is back to its original color with no stains whatsoever. I am more than impressed, and very pleased with the performance of the product. Miss Puddy has passed away. Two problems (or one, really) solved. The price of this product is extremely reasonable, and the gallon container is not even half gone.

I’ve used this for years, but now it has a very strong smell. It fades as it dries, but cleaning with it is unpleasant. I wish I hadn’t bought such a large jug.

So far the best product ever. Really does work. Tried so many different products to keep my dog from peeing on anything and everything and also removing the pee and feces oder. And finally this product does it all and for an affordable price. Will continue to buy. Highly recommend this product.

I have had every type of pet mess you can imagine on my light colored carpet and have tried many different carpet cleaners. Then I found this one and it is most definitely the best! Spray it on, smells good, use a scrub brush to get it in the Carpet fibers And just let it dry. Passes the UV light test! I have even used it for oil-based stains on clothes that I thought I had ruined. Sometimes it takes a second round in the washer for oil stains on clothing, but it doesn’t damage the clothing and you get more bang for your buck with the two applications. Works great!

This product is brilliant. I have been using it for a number of years now (since I discovered it)and recommend it to all the pet owners that I know. It really does do what it is supposed to do - and is the only product that I have found which actually gets rid of odours so much that my dog does not return to the same spot. I have used it for 3 different dogs now and have found it to be effective with all - especially at the puppy stage when they are weeing everywhere. I have also found it good for getting rid of other 'nasty' and difficult to remove odours - eg milk, vomit etc. I don't know how I managed before I discovered it!

We bought a new house a few weeks ago and were stunned when we took possession to find that the previous owner's cat had used a few places on the basement carpet as its "litter box". The smell was overwhelming, and wafted throughout the house. We hated to pull out a pretty new carpet, so did some internet research and learned that an enzyme cleaner was a must to actually degrade the compounds that cause the incredibly strong smell in old cat pee. Simple Solution Stain & Odor Remover came up repeatedly as a highly rated enzyme cleaner, so we ordered the spray bottle and a 1-gallon refill bottle. Through scientific investigation down on our knees (!), we identified the affected areas of carpet, then sprayed everywhere, with heavier doses on the worst areas. There was an improvement within an hour or so, but it took several applications on the problem areas over several days till the smell was gone. The product has a pleasant but not overly perfumey odour, which we like because one person in our family is susceptible to fragrance-triggered headaches. We got the impression that the product eliminated rather than just covered the bad smell. I highly recommend this product. We liked the results so much, we bought another gallon to use up at the cottage, where a couple of couches have a musty smell that we hope will respond well. One recommendation - if you're spraying a large area, as we had to do initially, or are making repeated applications, you'll find that your hand gets really tired working the sprayer for extended periods. We had to keep trading on and off with different people doing the spraying. I'd suggest using a sprayer (like you'd use for spraying garden chemicals, but don't use your garden one!)
